I propose a cross-server Society of Bishops be formed in order to share knowledge of this rare class, encourage new Bishops and better serve the Lineage2 world.
Bishops are one of the less played classes. They are known for their healing power and are usually welcome in parties in difficult hunting areas. What is not widely known is how their unusual combination of rare skills allows them to be played in a far wider variety of ways than most other classes. While they are not a fast levelling class and while it may take an unusual person to become dedicated to Bishoping, they are also a class with powers that very few understand.
Before I describe the idea for this Society of Bishops, let me establish my credibility. I am a level 74 Bishop on Erica, I have played this character since Summer of 2004 (plus alts, of course). I gain about half of my experience from parties and half from solo play.
This Society of Bishops would be open to Bishops on all servers who:
- are the MAIN character of the player
- have NEVER broken the EULA
- of all clans and alliances (so Bishops in clans at war can meet here peacefully)
- who wish to better the knowledge of Bishops and help new Bishops grow in that knowledge
- who can conduct themselves with reasonable civility
- of all play styles and preferences (solo, party, PvP, Battle Bishops....any style)
After our initial formation is complete, I suggest that new members be admitted only upon recommendation of an existing member. This minimum entry requirement is to ensure that our organization consists only of Bishops who meet the above requirements. In other words, if a potential member is so argumentative or incompetent that noone will nominate them for membership, then we don't need them.
I would like to nominate EllieBellie as our first Leader since she has been on the boards for a long time and has already demonstrated the qualities for membership and has contributed greatly to the L2 community.
OK...discussion? Do you Bishops like this idea? Is it worth doing? What about the idea I presented needs changing?
When I use the word 'Bishop' I am automatically including all 'Cardinals' as well.
