I started a Elf fighter as my first character, but then I wanted to switch to human for their gladiator. The new character bonus no longer apply to my human character, so should I stick to my Elf and become swordsinger or go unfunded/nobonus with my human?
you still get noobie buffs and stuff you just wont get the free weapon deal
you could go back to your elf and use the free weapon to farm some adena for your new glad i guesss
I advice you to play a class you think you'll enjoy. Those two classes have very different playstyles. This is how I see the two classes, I play an SWS myself and have played Tyrant a lot also, which has similiar skill set to the Gladiator.
SWS is a support fighter, your most important job is to keep your songs up and deal damage. After level 49 you'll be very much wanted in any melee/archer group, at 55 you become very useful to any group, especially tanks at raids. Also at 55 you can do some crowd control with the Arrest skill (saved tons of parties with this one^^), archer parties will love you when you root mobs so they shoot it in the back for more crits :> In PVP, don't expect to kill anyone, at least not fast since you got no damage dealing skills, but you can survive almost anything. Your job is to keep songs up, stay alive and bug the enemy with arrest, agression and slow.
A gladiator is a straight DD, with incredible burst damage skills. He doesn't really shine in PVP until very high level (70s), and absolutely stunning at 78. He is by no means easy to play since it takes some key stabbing skills to pull off your high power moves the correct and sensible way. At 78 you're a monster.'
