I see a lot of guides saying "upgrade" your items. But I don't know how. Can anyone tell me? Oh and can you tell me if it's pricy or not? Thank you
Upgrade usually refers to one of a few things.
1)Equipment exchange for low level characters at the Weapon/Armor NPC stores.
Basically you can 'upgrade' any no-grade (NG) armor, weapons or jewelry up to the highest level possible. All you have to pay is the adena difference between the old equipment and the new. This has to be done one 'step' at a time though. This ability is only available to characters under Level 24. (New player/character.)
2)Equipment 'upgrade' through the Blacksmith of Mammon.
Like the normal 'upgrade' option but only for weapons of D and C grades. Open to all characters and all costs are in Ancient Adena. (There is a slight 'overcharge' for this service compared to the NG item exchange as well. ~2% IIRC) You need to be on the winning side of the 7 signs competition and the correct seal must be won to use this service. You can upgrade D grade weapons to C grade weapons this way, although purchasing a D weapon from a shop directly or a C grade weapon from the luxury shop is usually a more cost effective action.
3)Sell your old items and buy new ones that are better.
Aka the obvious way, by selling to and buying from other players.
