How do I enter catacombs.

I was told this would be a good place to xp but the zigg at the entrance wont ever let me enter. What am I doing wrong.

you need to sign up for the winning side, dawn/dusk.

You need to do the sign up during the quest sign up period. This should be listed on your map when you open it.
Find a Dusk/Dawn priest and choose your side by which priest you talk to.

A little more information:

The Sevens signs period is split into two, 1 week periods. The first week is open competetion to determine which side wins.

In order to enter the catacombs or necropoli you have to sign up at either the priest of Dusk or Dawn in town.

When you sign up you have a choice of three seals to fight for. Each seal signifies a different outcome during the second, 1 week period of the compettition.

The first seal allows people to enter the catacombs, the second seal allows people to enter the necropolli, the third seal has ramifications to castle owners and seige events.

If after the first week the side you are fighting for wins the first seal OR noone wins the seal, you may enter the catacombs for that week. If your side loses the seal you cannot enter for that week.

Same goes for the second seal.

After two weeks, rinse and repeat.

I've read the NPCs and various sources but never really grasped what I should do to get in.
After reading your post I think I might have finally got it.
Looking at your sig, you've no need to be sick of the game when you're able to help noobies like me :P

Always remember though that you cannot participate in the 7signs unless you have move to your second class

this week you can sign up for next week (dawn ftw) and just see it with your own eyes if you have seen it 1x your gonna say OMG thats easy lol just like manoring ^^

You can participate as soon as you've finished 1st class change and hit level 20.
