ok..so...im a solo kinda guy...largely do to the lack of willing parties and clan members being to high atm..SOOOO.....what is a good place for my 46 Sorc to solo..ive been soloing alot along the north side of Ivory tower near out law forest...but im lookig for some where i can still two shot stuff and get more then 3500k xp per kill...any ideas??
Go for the Alligator Isle with the quest "Conquer the Alligator Island" and maybe you can get some EWC or EAC. Most of the mobs you need to kill are 2x mobs and so much adena that you will love it.
yea i decided to try Ev with my 44 Sws..it was still a little rough...so im back to AI until around 45 or 46 then my perma home is gonna be ev...ive LvLed two other toons from 45-46 to 58-60...so i just need to get my sws to around 46 and ill be good..but my sorc is my first and only nuker type toon..so im really stabbeing in the dark when it comes to places to grind with him...
Sea of spores isn't too bad unless you run into big missy Orfen. If you see her, stay well clear.
The spiders, golems and ghouls are all quite good exp and apart from the Tarantula spiders, none are aggro. These are all down deep rather than up top with the Wyrms and fungus.
You get some good mats here too.
Make sure you have started the Bingo quest for Warehouse Keeper medals. Startable in Oren and hunters, maybe one other.
The highest mob (Nos Lad) on AI will turn light blue to you when you hit 51. You can quite easily stay on AI and gain XP quickly enough (easy fast kills) until that level. Then it's one level in EV til B grade. :D
Unless the mobs in WoA are 58.... your friend is a liar. Spells fail if the gap between the level the skill learned and the level of the mob is too high (14 levels I believe).... not to mention the fact that his m atk would only be 1.4k (emp3) and he'd be nuking with lvl 44 (aka very low power) nukes. I call shenanigans.
and as for VOS...ok..so my sorc is 46 and wearing Deamon with a +4 Homu w/Acuman...i typicaly use empower L2 day scroll to grind..so...can i actualy solo in vos?

you could prolly do it abit earlier especially if you have better buffs or better gear but.... not at that lvl
a fast update..ive been on AI for around three hours total now and went from 44 to 46 with my sws :) :)....so..soon ill be going to EV with him..but i still cant affectively solo on AI with my sorc...i pull to much and cant kill them all :confused: .....so....im thinking ima stay near Ivory but the xo is so crummy...
I'm like the wind. Been at Vos on my necro since 48. Yeah... I was 3 shot by the Flash of Splendors... but all you have to do is keep your eyes open... because as long as you nuke them before they draw aggro, they don't live long enough to hit you.

I stepped foot in VoS at 47.5/48 with a +10 Homu and Zerk 2/Emp 3 and could two shot everything with those buffs. Any lower and you won't be able to. You won't be able to 2 shot them without Zerk 2 added in there until level 52 (with a +10 Homu and Demon Set and a +M.Atk Augmentation), and even then you need a Zubei Robe Set for the extra M.Atk or some mobs will still have a sliver left after the second shot. You dont' wanna be trying to melee some of these mobs down (even if only 1 hit) cause if they hit you they can easily crit (Blade of Splendor) and take over 60% of your HP (1k+ crits). Blades also port to you and can split and tag team you so you want all the power you can get. Acumen weapon + Grocery Store Haste Potion is good enough.
You don't wanna be trying to kill those mobs with a +5 Homu (what I had before I got the +10), the mobs will quite frankly just **** you. +5 to +10 is almost Empower 3 worth of M.Atk.
But if you have the gear, you can go from your level to B grade in a few hours there. I did 48-52 in about 3.5 hours total. It's sickening (and that was with porting to Rune to look for/get outside buffs).
Don't waste your money on L2Day scrolls, there is always a bunch of buffbots sitting at entrance and my experience has been that most people who XP there will happily buff you - most are nukers and totally understand what you're going through.
God no I wouldn't go to VoS any earlier than close to 60, those nukes will blow your socks off if you aren't on the ball and fast all the time.
The nukes are trivial.
Solution: Make sure you upgrade your jewels each grade (and Enchant to at least +3). That's easy for me since my roomate is playing and will inheret my upgraded gear (he's a nuker also) - and Academy members/alts can use them since I try to be nice (like one ran off with my Elven Mithril set, bugger :p).
They were hitting me for 600'ish, but Corpse Life Drain is enough since I usually kill them right after they nuke me. Should always be carrying heal pots anyways and you can click it when you see them casting (and while you're casting on them).
Also, the mobs are so overcon - HP herbs drop 80% of the kills, and MP herbs 50% - many Superiors.
You just need a +10 or higher Homu to kill them (the less ur M.ATK, the more Enchants over +10 you need unless you surrender/gloom before nuking - and that's mana intensive).
P.S. If you need a good spot to lvl to 52 you can do Outlaw Forest. It's respectable XP and you should be able to two shot everything that isn't an Oel Mahum Witch Doctor for 4.2-4.6k XP a kill. I think AI sucks for nukers cause they have too much HP - it's very nice for melee though. Don't even think about doing EV on a nuker, they have way too high M.Def.
This is why VoS is packed everytime I go there, lol.
My SH is now lvl 70 (and a half), Im still getting good xp with one shot kills there, FoD is another good place, but I am bored bored bored. Sooo any advice on somewhere that will give me about 5k one shot or 9 to 14k per two shots, and where I dont have to look at another bone slayer or punishment of splendor? lol
