Hi
I was thinking of subscribing.I'm doing the trial.....I've played WOW and Guild Wars....I'm an older player..61..I just wondered if there are guilds for older players?

Are there many of us older ones playing..they were easy to find in GW.....
Also If I subscribe the epic edition is cheap on Amazon....Having a manual I thought might help.
Well, any advice would be appreciated a lot.
Tom
So tell me tom....

Did Wow lack a challenge something to hold you to the game? What are you looking for L2 to fill?
Just between you and me and the rest of the forum, Drakkos is ancient and seems quite comfortable in our clan.
There are older players, though I don't know of any clans that consist of "older" players.

We had the father of one of our members playing and I think he was in the high 60's. They have since moved on from L2 but you get the idea.
the average age of my clan is somewhere in the high 20's..... and thats good cause noone likes kids in L2
oldest guy i know who played L2 was in his 80's and played with his retired wife

60 is prolly abit older than the average player but you could pretty much join any clan and you would hardly be a freak, no real need to join a clan specifically for more mature people just find one that you like and enjoy the game
On the wow question...the game was very much about raids and it just wasn't all that challenging.....pvp was pretty bad too..
thanks all for your help.
thats weird i heard WOW raids are fairly challenging
either way you can bet ours arnt much better :P

Depends on the raid. L2 has some pretty challenging bosses, which basically means you need a clan of epic proportions to take it out.
WoW raids require you to know the strategy. There are generally simple strategies (offtanking) to handle most of the raids. Nothing is too complicated or random. L2 raids are tough because of the pure attack power and stats of mobs. The strategy doesn't change much during the raid unless you get unlucky and heavily wiped.

As for older players, there are many around, but not many "pure older player" clans.

The guide is useless. Check forums for any information you need.
The community TOG used to have a clan on Lionna. Dunno if they still exists in a closet somewhere there thou.

TOG is from what i know a community of older gamers that have guilds in many of the major games out there.

TOG = The Old Gamers, i believe atleast..
In my last few clans, I've met people 40-75 .. I think you'll fit in just fine xD
