Why buy/sell GSS?

I'm assuming this means Green Seal Stones? And on my server, the price doesn't seem as beneficial to the seller as converting the GSS to AA. Is there some high level quest that requires GSS, or some other explanation?

because not everyone is dumb enough to buy AA at 2:1 when a shop right next to it is selling gss for 7 :P

It gives the seller greater flexibility over the price of the AA. Sell a GSS for 8 adena and you are effectively selling AA for 1.6 adena, something that you cannot do with AA itself as you can only price things in whole adena.

Also, I think that GSS is the most common of the three SS types, ie there is more GSS than BSS or RSS on the market.

i leveled 50-62 in the cata near oren without handing in a single seal stone

out of the 7 million AA i had at the end, 5 was from GSS

however, in the 20-30 and 30-40 cata red and blue are the prevailent ones

But lvls 20-40 are done in a few moments and yield a lot less SS than higher lvls.

the higher lvl you are the more GSS you get compared to the other SS
at lvl 20 the ratio will be 33:33:33 while at 70+ it will be more like 80:15:5

thats done to balance out the seven signs so high lvl ppl dont get heaps more points than lowbies

That's not necessarily true. In NoS, HC and the one by PH, Blue is the most common Stone that drops followed by Red; Green is the least common stone in those catacombs. In the 40+ catacombs, Greens are the most common.

Green seal stones only start dropping from lvl 33 mobs + why they aint so common 20-30 or 30-40 cats. And im pretty sure u need GSS to enter festival of darkness which some players may not have due to there lvl.
