hehe, should have explained my play style ^^
Usually have a PP sit in party to leech, while his boxed 66 SE heals/buffs while I AoE, also have my own SE though low 40's .. and -8 won't mess up my hp drastically?
I have no experience with tats. I do know when I switched from Doom (+3 CON, as I recall) to Tallum Heavy (-2 CON). I was more susecptable to stuns/sleeps/poisons, etc. I don't know for sure, but at -8 CON, it seems like problems with stuns/sleeps/poisons would get worse, and might become risky for poling. (My HP dropped also, but losing the HP bonus of the Doom set accounted for a lot of the HP loss - it was not all due to the lower CON.)
Old, that must have been your personal impression - sleeps have nothing to do with CONs. Poison in PvE is no problem, sleep is not dependant on CON, and stunners can be avoided while poling for the most part.
and tallum has resist poison so odds are you would have a 30-40% increase to resisting it
if you ask me +5str -5 con if you are poling and think you can get away with it
go +4 dex if you think you can pull that off too but imo destro doesnt need any tats
and stunners can be avoided while poling for the most part.
I'm not totally sure about being able to avoid stuns. In CoA, that did seem to be the case, but the alternative was to work the rooms with the nukers. Moving to higher levels and trying to go past the front rooms in Witches or any equivalent level in the other Cats/Necs this week, a friend and I could not find a room without stunners. Outside of the Cats/Necs, at the level I am at, this would seem to be GC, but the bears and Beast Lord groups there also have stuns. In fact, basically, it seems like now that I've gotten past upper 50s stunners have become a fact of life.
But, if there is a way to avoid the stunners at 60+, please explain. I would love to be able to avoid them. (Even when I'm not getting any real harm from the stuns, it's boring to just sit and watch my characters get beat on.)
The best tatto for pole is -4 con +4 dex. Extra speed so you outrun mob, a bit more evasion(not realy with heavy but you get one more point), extra attack speed and criticals so you make maximum use of vampiric. I use that to my warlord and seem to work fine.
Now if you use two handed sword i think +4 dex would be the best again as you have more attack speed and more critical rate.
Speed is the major problem of DEstroyer as he can be kited by every player in aden so + dex is the way to go.
What to reduce, obviously con. Your HP is already much more than average due to boosts hp skill and battle roar, same for hp regenaration. You get some stun issues but the toggle skill war frenzy balance the situation and in extreme situation(pvp) you can use the lionheart and there is no posibility to be stuned for one minute even from shield stun from a paladin(tested) 20 lvl higher than you.
conclusion. + dex - con. You can skip str tatoo as your str is at respectable lvls, but dex is so low that need a boost.
I would use -2str +2 con -3str +3 con
Thats because eitherway you dont do dmg. But you do tons of dmg when you activate rage frenzy and zealot. Your problem is speed. Zealot gives you speed. I would touch dex. You need runing speed. You need all hp you can get at 30%
Destroyer is neither a Warlord nor a Tyrant. Also, his sig says 5x Destroyer so what he needs is lvling speed, not PVP survivability.
+4 STR -4 CON and +4 DEX -4 CON with Tallum plates(BW till 61) for single target mobs or +4STR - 4 CON with Majestic against the stunners when poling. And if he has good support, the +4 DEX -4 CON can be used when poling too.
When he starts pvping later on, he can then change the whole setup, but now he needs lvling speed.
Going for DEX instead of STR as the main attribute isnt imo worth it. Since the DEX is already so low, the gains aint that big either. On the other hand, boost in STR gives a much bigger boost in overall DPS at those lvls.
Speed is only a problem in PVP and Zealot pretty much changed that to some extent. Same for HP, again only needed really in PVP and at 5x even with -CON the HP is more than enough compared to the DPS of other classes at those lvls.
Old, that must have been your personal impression - sleeps have nothing to do with CONs. Poison in PvE is no problem, sleep is not dependant on CON, and stunners can be avoided while poling for the most part.
She's right xD..and I do usually avoid them while aoeing in the catas
when poling in the cats stick to patriots untill light blue. avoid stunners but its not imposable. after patriots move to witches. you can stay here till around 71. after 71 you move to Marty's. I recomend +4dex-4con and/or +4str-4con with maj for poling. dont get the halberd. If a grade pole go tallum glaive only. halberd suks.
IDK what gear im getting tbh.. I can't really afford much atm, Think if I sold my pole/gs and my alts +9 wep I could get about 60m
Dragon slayers about 60-65m on Gustin..but im [censored] out of luck for armor then ><
Just stick with your GS and B grade pole until you can afford the A grade weapons, imo. Maybe just enchant the B grade weapons to +3 and put the SA's on them if you haven't already. A GS with Focus is actually a pretty good weapon for a while. However, whether of not to put an SA on the pole depends on what kind it is and what SA's are available.
Currently using an OPA +3 w/ wideblow (SA was on it when I bought it)..that sells for about 11-13m on gustin.. could always buy a shadow pole..another question, will OPA still be efficient on 61+? Half of gustin B graders use OPA as lances with SA are close to 70-80m (note thats over 5-10m more then TG) Was thinking going health on my gs..got the cry atm..waiting to buy the gems..but any ideas for armor? Or continue to use bw?)
Well, if you are hurting for money, you don't have to get everything at once. I assume the OPA is an Orcish Poleaxe. I can't really answer how efficient it will be at 61, because I got a Lance in mid-50s. Personally, I would advice Focus SA on the GS. The extra crits come in real handy.
As far as prioritizing whether to upgrade armor or weapon first, once you get to 61 or beyond, that's a bit of a puzzle. Personally, I lucked into Tallum Heavy, after using Doom in B grade, and that seemed more effective than when somebody loaned me a Dragon Slayer. However, if you are moving up from BW to Tallum, the difference will not be as big as it was for me. Meh, in the end, it might boil down to money. On Seigehardt, a full set of Tallum is, I think, much cheaper than any of the 2-hander A grade swords, and probably cheaper than an A grade pole.
By the way, I am assuming your A grade armor will be Tallum Plate. Well, it just happens to be good armor for a Destroyer, and I think it will be cheaper than, say, Majestic (offensive build) or Nightmare (defensive build).
