How long does it take to get rid of adena sellers?

How long does it take from the time I type the following:

"/gm xxxxxxxxx is obviously advertising adena for sale"

This is rather obvious when the giran shouts are in between every other WTS or WTB:

xxxxxxxx: ww.dddddddd ddd.co and ww w.eeee eeeee.co m are good place to buy adena (cheapest,fastest and most reliable). WTS or transfer adena pls contact blablabla at ban dot com?

Note: Names and adresses have been changed to protect the guilty...

I would type /ignore name but I am rather curious as to how long it actually takes.

report em and should be a very fast ban, however with the free trial period going on atm, once a free account gets banned, a new one is created. this should disappear once the free trial period is over.

Was thinking about that free trial. Love it to get new blood - guess we have to deal with the idiots in the meantime. I do report them too - along with the bots running the hotspring quest. The obvious ones should be the simplest to get rid of...

Why can't we be like WoW? Cheap filthy ******** who charge 3.99for a trail..but hey it'd stop the bots/spammers...or atleast give ncsoft profits...and hey..isn't that why they keep the bots? $$$

I thought you had to pay for a subscription to their site before you get the trial.

I reported 1 the other day, took about 30 secs for a reply informing me they allready knew guy was gone 5 mins l8tr. Should IP Ban them all tbh.

i reported one on gustin the other day and 1 minuet later he was gone, but i cant be sure if he was banned or just logged into another server to start spamming there

The only way to be rid of Adena sellers is to be rid of Adena buyers. So, once everyone that has/is/will buy Adena is off your server, the Adena sellers will then begin to leave as well.

Sorry for my ranting on this - just seeing that toon advertising in the way he/she was doing - well just got under my skin.... I imagine the GM's are extremely busy lately, hence the longer delay.

NCsoft will NOT sell adena themselves, i would not like it if they did, and they make the already high prices on everything fly into space! (thats very very high up)

and tons of people can and do lvl without ebaying, myself included, which happens to be why my prophet isnt in A grade yet, let alone top B :p

If that's what it takes to make this game free of those cheating ********, I'd say we should make the sacrifice and ban them all.

Yes, BAN all cheaters, adena buyers/sellers, toon buyers/seller, account sharing people...all of them. The game would be far better without them.

If you have cheated, Everything you accomplish in game is tainted by your cheating.

I know a friend who has and they tried to convince me but i refused, so no not everyone has ebayed, but hey at least we know how you got your gear now so thanks for sharing with us that you indeed cheated yourself.

That is one broad statement. I for one have not so you can change your statement to "at least everyone - 1". I do recall someone saying to me - too long ago to remember when - "You will never own B grade unless you Ebay" I told him - just watch. There are other ways to attain your gear other than Ebay.
1) Playing the market
2) Raids
3) Relying on drops from bots (old method now unless you can get them to go red)
4) Just getting lucky.
5) Having a good clan / friends to loan or donate gear.

It is hard but can be done without purchasing adena. A lot of people that I knew bought in game adena are no longer playing as the game just became too easy for them. Not much to strive for when you already have everything.
