Lineage radio is no more. I'm not clear on the details but it has something to do with royalites paid going up in price.. er.. at least that's what I've seen.
Yes it's down and has to do with the whole legal aspect of lifestream radio's and the legit ways of royalties involved...As usual in the name of property protection of the artists which I can very understand, but which sadens me as I loved the LII radio :(
The RIAA is nothing more than the Mob legalized. They sued a teenage girl in a wheelchair for broadcasting her music to her friends without paying royalty rights.
They shut down another radio station for storing the music they payed for on an FTP server so the DJs would have easy access to all the songs on the request list without having to pay for each song. They were so malicious in this case that they went after the DJs as well as the company behind the station. They went so far as to have the DJs ISPs shut their connections down for "piracy". And have attempted to bring charges against the DJs as well as the company.
Screw the RIAA. This is not protecting artists, they act like mobsters shaking down store owners for protection money.
