First off, thank you to all who posted in my other thread about class advice, you were a great help to me. I decided on a Human Fighter, who will be going Rogue--->Hawkeye.
What I really need now, as I aproach my first class change, is some advice on which D Grade Armour/Weapon to save-up for. Although, bear in mind that as a complete noob to the game, Adena is in pretty short supply, so I will probably not be able to afford the top-of-the-line D Grade equipment that is available.
I will be using a Dagger as opposed to a Bow as I have heard that it is more cost-efficient Adena-wise. So, basically I need reccommendations on which D Grade Armour/Shield and Dagger to save for?
At the moment you get D grade Shadow weapon exchange cupons when completeing 1st class transfer. 15 of them. You go to the warehouse chief (and maybe other npc's aswell) to exchange the cupons which will give you a high-mid D grade weapon that has a certain life counter or MP.. so once one has used all of it's mp you just get the next one. There are instructions under the News/chronicles tab press "shadow weapons" to read about how it works.
Also there is some event going on right now where you can lend D grade weapons.
As for armor you can get a clan light armor if you join an academy. Don't use shield if you go the rogue/asassin/ path.
Try join an acadamy and get clan oath armor light. I think its the cheapest Armorset you can get while its like top D grade armor.
For weapon maingauge or cursed maingauge ( with crit bleed ) is not to bad.
While the prelude event is goin on you get a free D grade weapon from Mrs Cat if that character is the first on the server. The worth of that weapon shopwise would be 700k ( if u would buy it in shop ). You can stick around with it till you saved enoght money for the better D grade weapon. Be sure u dont PK someone else you will be unable to use newbie weapons.
I'd work towards getting a mithril dagger. What you'll do is buy a Maingauche and then Upgrade it to a mithril dagger through Trader of Mammon in the catacombs. You will need I believe 480K Ancient Adena.
Personally, I went for Manticore armor and didn't bother completing the set. Lvl 20-40 is pretty quick so I made it as cheap as possible.
With herbs dropping, you should be able to tear up field mobs pretty easy with low downtime.
Honesly, dont even bother with light armor. Yes, I know you have light armor masterys, but you will get much more out of heavy armor at your level. What good is evasion when mobs dont miss? Cheap heavy set for D grade is Mithril Heavy set. Believe it or not, you can make almost all the way through C grade with D grade armor. I got to 52 on my BD wearing brig.
What server are you playing on? What is the going rate of AA(ancient adena)? If the going rate is more than 2A each then it is probably more worth it to sell your AA than upgrade your weapon with it.
