Just kinda wondering if anyboday has made contact with a live GM in the past few months or years...
It seems when I petition all I get are cookie cutter answers and not able to actually discuss anything with a GM anymore.
When I first played L2, and submitted petitions, I would be able to connect with a GM and further explain my petition since it limits the character amount you can input.
But in the last year or so, it seems as if there are no GM's, just an automated system that searches for key words then spits a response back to you.
yes, they do, you just have to know the language they speak.
if your petition is in any way derogatory, or rude, or has even the slightest tone of anger, expect that the automated replies will be all you receive.
when you are polite, serious and genuine, you actually get to talk to someone.
once i crashed out when on the ferry from TI-Gludin. i got sent back to gludin with no ferry ticket.
i petitioned, and actually got a live GM to chat with and who ported me.
once i got raid cursed, petitioned cause i was a noob and forgot the minions levels counted in the raid curse thing. i got a live GM to 'splain me the situation.
petitioning is one thing, knowing how to talk to people is another.
and before you start, no; no customer service representative of any company anywhere will EVER deal co-operatively with unco-operative customers.
You have such a strang out look on everything. Why do you even assume that everyone sending petitions is just being rude? I have sent thousands of them. I have never been rude. I have even added in some humor. Never once talked to a gm. Care to explain that?

I at no time stated I was rude or degrogatory. I re-read my original post and still see no reference regarding rude, polite, or other....
I was simply asking if they actually exist anymore.
I am never rude nor derogatory when I submit a petition.
How is it you feel as if this is why they will not respond to people?

Oh, I have my various reasons. Like the time I ported into Forest of Mirrors and had a nasty video error (ATI Mobility card does not play nice with FoM).
I had to log an alt and petition, and I was not only returned to town, but the Avadon Gloves I dropped AND the XP I lost were returned to me.
Idiots griefing and/or spamming chat, certain glitches I find... things like that.
there are several reasons why a person would submit petitions aside from bots and not a favored chat usage.
several issues regarding quests...getting stuck...(before they implimented the /unstuck)...people forcelogging...item description issues...clarifications on certain things...and on and on....
on several occassions when i found quest related issues, that i had thought were imprtant, i was given a cookie cutter answer similar to this:
We can not assist you in quest related issues. (and then they proceed to offer reason(s) why).
While I was not asking for them to tell me where to go next, or how do I get this part done, I was letting htem know about a possible glitch. If a live GM had bothered to assist me in the situation, then I cuold have better explained the issue, but I was not able to since all I got was the cut and paste answer...
The same actually would hold true for bot reports. If a GM would actually present themselves at your location and observe what you are, then maybe action could be taken sooner and an actual promise made by ncsoft to its customers of ridding the game of bots would come to light rather then:
We will look into this matter.
I was in contact with a live GM less than a week ago. I had a problem where I couldn't Augment weapons, the GM was going to look into the problem and recommended me to do a full check. Apparently the full check fixed my problem so the GM was very helpful and asked me to explain the situation in detail.
So yes, GM's do exist, theres just so many petitions of the same general question that a GM doesn't have time to talk to each and every one. After all we pay $15 a month, each GM probably makes $20+ an hour, so logically they shouldn't feel obligated to talk to each and every petition. I'm sure if the game cost $50 a month there would be more money available for customer support and bots would actually be banned and we could be listened to.
Remember that M&M commercial where the candy meets santa and both exclaim "They do exist" and both promptly faint? Well, in Lineage2 the GM runs into a bot. Both exclaim at the same time "They do exist" and both promptly crit error. Neither one able to screenshot a proof of the other.

Must just be you, man. Stop petitioning 3x per day and see if that helps the situation. I'll bet you will stop getting those annoying 'cookie cutter, automated responses'.
We were leveling in rift one day and we lost our healer to the "far corner of the world". Obviously some "divine power" had magically teleported the player. In this dimension all you could hear over and over were people repeatedly saying the same things, running back and forth endlessly. The healer tried to whisk herself to a familiar place but something held her fast.
Then an invitation came from far away from a friendly Doomcryer and rescued the poor healer, back into the lands of Aden.
In recent events especally last 2 weeks I got to say no they do not exist.
Case in point, just last Thursday I had a series of power disconnect failers when running l2 on my three clients. I was leveling a new hatchling when I got d/c for the 3rd time. It took me roughtly 30 mins to trouble shot and finally get back on the game when I lost my pet and all my top hatching armor and weapon...
To my dismay the tragity of losing my no name 52 star hatching was really upsetting. I did a petition waited for hours no responce i got really tied after sending a 2nd petition. The incedent happend about 8pm when i finally after 30 mins got a respnoce after the 2nd petition with a cookie cutter responce that the report was received and a review will be sent by email. I was like great someones looking into the case and after hours of waiting for an email reply went to to sleep later that night. The following day I got an email message at 11:28am from gm spam with a to me seemd like another cookiee cutter reply statitng it passed the 20 min time period and that theres nothing they can do to bring back my pet.
gm spam, "pet death is a part of the game. A lot of care needs to go into raising a pet. It is not meant to be easy."
Wheres the humanity, the compasion in the game. If only there was an ASPCA for digital pets dragons.
I know this is just a single case but then I look at the recent adena spamming going on recently in the pass seveal days. And I dont see much going on GM's need to step up efforts and become more visible more vocal and ensure the masses they are still there.
You just seem bitter you lost your hatchling and gear. They are there, it's just part of their policy to not interfere in that sort of thing. Your power went out, thats not NCSoft's problem. Complain to whoever supplies your residence with electricity.

I petitioned saying that I ported into Forest of Mirrors, experienced a massive graphics glitch and died, dropping my avadon gloves (As I saw them unequipped on the login screen).
I said that I did not care if they were returned or not, simply that I was able to get back to town so I could continue to play (As I could not see to click [return to town]).
I received a notice saying they were moving me back, logged back in and sure enough, had my XP and gloves back.
Well I talked a couple of times with GM's had no real help though.
I petitioned about some glitches farmers are exploiting / that summons could get in our hall and kill us .
They never did something to either ban/fix/return exp or anything like that.
So I guess they exist but they aint doing their job good at all.
In all the few petitions I have filed with the GM's I have yet to "speak" a living being.
HOWEVER my neice (who was 16 at that time) has..
After I had complications with our last baby she came to live with us and she really got into playing L2
Well after a falling out with her clan she started getting VERY derogatory pm's and public chats from her former clanmates that upset her to the point of tears.
After finally talking her to reporting it we had her title it "sexual harrassment of a minor.
In just a couple of minutes not one but two gm's contacted her and then after getting the basics in just a few moments a female gm messaged her for more details.
I don’t know if it was the powers of persuasion or just being polite to the GM that u get an answer back.
In ref to my lost hatching which just a few hours ago GM Spam reimbursed me with a 51 level hatching, a pretty cool move on his part. Its not a full recovery, I still don’t have the armor or weapon it was carrying, but at least my baby dragon is ok which is the most important.
So I have to retract my last statement GM do exist just takes a while to get around to each one of us. Be diligent curious and polite when dealing with them.
i have seen a gm in game once with the =gm= thing above there head, for got the gm's name tho. I took a screen shot of it but my harddrive locked up so i got no proof of it, but it was a a raid and lots of others were there. We all most had the boss beat then the server reset. when most of us were able to log in we knew we had to /gm it. maybe we got a live gm there because there were so many people saying the same thing about what happend with the boss, and its hp and all that mess but they put the boss back with a little bit more hp than it had to start with. Plus we got all our mp back because it took a while of us standing around while the gm did its thing. Then we killed the boss, so yes i have seen a gm once. They are around but are hard to find you need a army to hunt one of them down to see one ingame. It was funny people were trying to kill the =gm=. i gave the gm a rec thumbs up but that joker didn;t rec me back
Been playing since just a couple weeks after C3 went live. Haven't seen a GM in game yet. Might fall off my chair if I ever do.....but
I have over that time had occasion to chat with a GM, mostly it's been quest related stuff, once when I made a mistake freighting stuff to an alt. So they are out there, just hard to find it seems, except for certain types of problems.
I've talked to a few during my time in the game. They respond with their usual who cares and I give them a horrible evaluation and resend the petition. They usually answer the second time but maybe they are just having a bad day when I /gm.
I would kind of like for them to do an event with GM characters involved not to show that they are in game but just something small and entertaining. Like the GM announcements.

Does this mean there are adult GM's out there somewhere? They are more like the mythical BigFoot. You hear reports of people seeing them, even the odd fuzzy picture of them. But are they really real or are they just photoshopped pictures?
I give up, after my last report to a gm about an in town death due to lag and getting no response. I don tthink I will ever petition again for any sort of assistance.... was really sad they didnt even contact me in email, tho they said they would, even to say why they didnt want to help me....
