on the pts i played a Gladiator, a HE attacked me outta no where, got a good 2 shots off on me (stun shot + double shot) before i started fighting back, and i killed him just the same, popped lionheart then using sonic blaster while he tried to kite me, him popping cp pots, i didnt have any on me at the time, so i'd do 3 sonic blasters, charge up, repeat, did this a few times, then used sonic move to catch him and TSS for like 3k damage. a nuker would go down alot quicker, i figure 2 shots at most, while it'd take 7-8 to take a glad down, the only class that i think could in 1v1 take down an equal level glad would be a destroyer, or a dagger with enough luck to land 2 lethals before the glad could kill em, however the game isnt about 1v1. but glads are great in group pvp too, especially with that aoe skill of theirs hitting for over 1000 damage from a 74+ glad, and the fact that they have two of those.
as for pve, glads are one of the strongest melee class their is they can deal out tons of damage, and take it too, and they do pretty good with a polearm aswell with their 20-36 polearm masteries, i figure if my TH had no problem solo-polearming 57-64 in light armor then a glad should do just that much better.
the thing to ask though, is do you like playing HE, or would you like playing gladiator better? what would you have more fun as? it doesnt matter what class is a better fotm.

yup now it isnt a real problem but pff when i get higher then ppl will be asking about that hmm i think i go gladdy :/ now i can grind from 1 -40 again!!!

HE has an aoe skill. I have party with a He once. He was doing his burst shot and always trying to do overhit so i think he was quite usefull. Not that i prefer HE over a normal pole user but if a clan member ask for party i say why not he can do something.
I refuse party only to PR and dagger(they have no aoe skill)
Many players use to AOE with friends of many dif classes sometimes we see SE, EE, PP... using poles is just to help to get a few extra damage to the mobs, in fact pole can help to get fast LvL but when u get a high LvL Pole Masteries take advantage and only Dwarfs and Warlords take that advantage unless you have a higher buffer/healer to support you. For massive AOE Warlords are the best and the fast char to adquire XP, it just sux in PvP but in battles its a insane help. But anyone see Warlords in Franz ???
