This post involves the unmentionables but please don't cause it to be locked as it ISN'T a rant about them, just an observation that I would like comment on - please rant on the official post if you need to.
Ok this is my query.
I have a little scavi that I take fighting outside of Dion (towards Floren). The Lizardmen aggro there as you will most likely know. I have been fighting there for several levels and I'm used to how the mobs there behave. Anyway one particular day I found that near to Dion I was aggroed as normal. Nearer to Floren they didn't react at all and didn't aggro once. I could literally stand in front of them without any reaction. In that same spot was an autodwarf - fighting the Lizardmen only.
Maybe only coincidence but it was very odd that all other mobs still reacted as normal (the floating eye things aggro also) but not the Lizardmen and only near Floren.
could it be that this dwarf might of managed to move them around and eventually also manage to loose agro.
Its a trick i sometimes use in Ct2 when poling, does damm floating balls tend to damage my mp very effectivelly. These things agro, so sometimes when i aggro them, they will loose interest in me, for what ever reason, and for the next lil while i can past right beside them and they wont agro me anymore.
Sounds like maybe that dwarf was able to do that with those lizardmens?
It couldn't have been the losing aggro aspect because I was killing mobs myself in the same general area and not only did they not aggro before I killed them but the respawns didn't aggro either, nor did any of the other Lizardmen aggro if I attacked one nearby them (they are social to their own as well as aggro)
I'm sure there is an explaination somewhere but it is odd.
I've experienced something similar also madders. In the first room on the right in pilgrims out by partisans hideaway. I could get an agro mob on me, walk 5 paces and the mob would remain at the spot i stood at first when it agroed me. The i'd go up and start whacking away and the mob didnt even hit back. Also in the same room i've cleared out the full room several times without getting hit even once, not even the social mobs reacted when i was killing their buddy right next to 'em. It was wierd, but it wasn't like this all the time. It came and went in waves so sometimes the mobs acted as normal and healthy as always. I petitioned during the abnormal behaviour but always when someone actually dealt with my petition the mobs were back on their normal behaviour again and GM's didnt find anything odd with the area, lol.

Some thing happened to an alt dwarf I was leveling in NOS. From time to time, all mobs in a room would loose aggro. If a mob hit me, all I had to do is move away a few paces. It seem to run really slow and finally stopped hit me. When I got back and start hit it again, it didn't hit back!. Free kills (while it lasted).
Maybe I'm paranoid or delusional, but I could swear that yesterday when I was leveling a soul crystal near devastated castle, a group of the 'unmentionables' was standing next to a couple of doom knights, buffing and moving around a bit. The doom knights didn't aggro them, I even stood there waiting for a couple of minutes and watched them finish buffing. Then they set off in another direction and still the doom knights didn't aggro, but sure enough they aggroed on me when I passed them. Any ideas?

my idea: it just barely appeared there. sometimes the mobs wont aggro if they spawn near you for a good thirty seconds and i usualy have to run out of their aggro range and back in to get it :p
Could be, though I stood there for minutes, hoping they would aggro so I could kill the little ******** by chasing them into more mobs with curse fear :P

Yup, very much like that in NOS too but i can't point out a specific room like in pilgrims. Funny thing was while that room was acting wierd i could go into another room just next door and it would act normal, run back to the funky room to find it still being funky... those 'times' could sometimes last me long enough to clear the room of 3-4 full roomspawns, lol
