Spoil

Im posting this to get peoples thoughts on the subject and see if ppl have other info on it.

Does emp have effect on spoil?
Last I checked the conclusion has been it has no effect, but some ppl still think it does. thoughts?

Acumen makes you spoil faster?
this does seem to be the case.

Can you still spoil while silenced?
Yes, so spoil isnt a magic skill. Is it a physical skill like dancing? not sure.

What determines if a mob will turn blue?
-Frist the mob must activate
-the amount of hp the mob has. half hp mobs dont spoil that much where as mobs in catas with more hp etc will spoil more.
-your lvl relative to the mob effect this you cant be to high or too low. it will effect how often the mob will change to blue.
-mobs the spoils mats over parts spoil more

what determines activation?
-spoil lvl
- does your lvl affect it? not sure... but do know alot of ppl who farm mats dlvl so they can farm better but have the higher lvl activation.
Acumen doesnt increase spoils casttime. Some chronicles ago, spoil was faster with acumen, but now, the spoilspeed depens on atk speed -> Haste makes spoil faster.

About the power increase, im sure its not Emp, but im not sure if the sucess rate is better with higher patk. I think that the sucess rate is based on the players, the mobs and the skills lvl, after that its all random I guess.
Emp? No effect IMHO.
Acumen? Definitely no effect. Spoil speed is directly proportional to attack speed, both execution and reset.
Physical skill? Yes, check the skill description.
Turn blue? The same as drop rate - certain items spoil more frequently, and higher HP multiplicity mobs drop more. It depends on the mob though, so eh.

Activation? Spoil level vs monster level. If manoring is an indication, then player level vs monster level might make a difference too, but I'm sure some warsmith can confirm that better than me.
Patk means nothing to spoils land rate. I had Zariche(Fully leveled up) on my BH and the land rate was the same at all times.
Alright.. here's the lowdown on spoil.. again...

It's a physical skill, the time it takes to go off and it's reuse timer are based upon Atk Speed. Silence has no affect, but the physical silence (like the Dino's do, or hero glamor) do affect it.

There is 2 parts to spoil.
Part 1 - does it land on the mob - do you get the system message and the little tone that indicates spoil has landed successfully.

Part 2 - assuming you got the message that spoil did land, does the mob turn blue or not?

OK.. Part 1.
Did spoil land, and you got the system message. There is no buff that affects this that I have ever been able to find. The absolute #1 thing that affects it is the mobs lvl vs your spoil lvl. (note - it's the level you got the spoil at which is important, not your lvl) There are strange implications about the way this works, because it is very noticeable in the lower levels when there are big gaps between new spoil lvls. What you will see is that a mob that is lght red to you at lvl 47 is **** near impossible to spoil, then you make one lvl to 48, and all of a sudden it spoils 75% of the time. It's also very noticeable in the low 60's - go to the beast farm at lvl 61 and you will be ****** off because spoil hardly lands, make that singel lvl to 62, get your new spoil and you will be amazed that it works almost every time.

It's worth noting that somewhere in the mid 60's your spoil festival lvl actually gets slightly ahead of your regular spoil level. You will see that some mobs that spoil like half the time with normal spoil, spoil almost 100% of the time if you use spoil festival.

The whole thing becomes glaringly obvious at lvl 75. All you have at that point is your last lvl of spoil from lvl 74. Go to FoG, IT, or hero rift and you will find that it only lands maybe 50% of the time. As soon as you get spoil crush at lvl 76 (which is just a normal spoil and some damage) you can all of a sudden spoil any mob in the game at a very high chance of landing. This includes the Dino's, which are the highest lvl mobs in game - and they are blood red even at 76.

OK..
Part 2 - does the mob turn blue?
There is one thing and one thing only that affects this. The mob's spoil table. It is pure luck. I have walked into a room, spoiled a mob and gotten a 1/1500 spoil, then spoiled that same **** mob for 10 more hours and never gotten it again. There may be affects on the server side - lots of spoilers in one area, no one hunting an area, etc, etc, we all know the conspiracy theories and rumors. However, there is nothing that you can do to affect that baseline spoil chart.

Note - spend some time looking on any of the sites that show spoil tables, and you will see that many times there are 6 variations of the same mob, and only one of those variations spoils what you want. Most of the time, there's no way to tell the difference between them. A prime example of this is the beast farm. I forgot which one it was - I think the lvl 4 buffalos, but every time I got a varnish (common spoil) I knew that I did not get the helm recipe I was looking for - because those two items are on that mob variations spoil table.

As a BH, it pay to know the spoil tables for mobs in your lvl range.

One last little tidbit. Usually spoil is pretty reliable 75% or so, on mobs that are 9 lvls or so above the lvl you got the spoil at. If they are less than 6 lvls above your spoil lvl, it is pretty much 100% to land.

Also.. the chance of the mob turning blue goes down at the same rate as the drops are reduced if the mob is blue to you. You can definitely spoil lt blue and dk blue mobs, but the rate is reduced by the number of lvls they are below you.
Light blue doesn't affect spoil or drop rates (it only affects XP/SP), its only Deep blue that makes the drop and spoil rate drop to 1/3rd.
its a 10% drop penalty for every lvl the mob is light blue
i done extensive tests on it
Should the breakover level at 4x not be 49? '__';

And yes, I do believe that light blue has effects on drop/spoil rate but should be easy to test with those high %age spoils.
Yeah, I had a couple of the exact levels wrong, it's been a long time. Doesn't matter though.. you get the point.

Lt Blue does make a difference. As I recall it's a 10% drop per level that the mob is below you.. the penalty does not take affect on green mobs. (although it used too way back when..)
