Ok, this isn't really about quadruple boxing. It's about my desire to consume; buy a new toy; SPLURGE!!!
Of course in typical middle class American fashion, I need a reason to justify the expense of a new laptop. I don't need it. I already have more PC's than I can shake a stick at. But the idea of playing on my work break -- because who are we kidding, no one really EATS on their lunch break -- seems compelling enough.
What do you guys say? Anyone out there play L2 on the go?
Depends. I've played on a Geforce2Go and it was pretty **** choppy. But that's old technology. It does play fairly nice on Either ATI Mobile Radeon 9600, Geforce4Go or Better though. I'd recommend to stay away from S3 or Intel Graphics chips or anything other than ATI or Nvidia.
I eat on lunch break, actually everyone here goes downstairs to canteen or some restaurant outside.
I would love to have some laptop and mobile internet and L2 near me while at work - there is not always that much work to do, more like coming in waves. But I cannot, I work for large American corporation :p
Get at least 1GB RAM and X600 mobile radeon if you want to look at it.
like he said, if your gonna get a laptop, be prepared to spend another 250$ JUST to get it to play one box =/ , atleast I bought a dell (best available at the time) and i ended up paying 300$ for ram, video card, and some better sound ><
This laptop has a radeon mobility 9000, 1 gig ram, 1.6 GHz and I can 2 box on it on the lowest settings. Its what, 2 years old now or so? Its not pretty, but functional. You can't actively play both toons, but using one as a buff box works well.
The sad part is, this laptop is my most stable computer ever. I rarely DC or crash to desktop.
I played at work for a long time on my Acer 5020 series laptop. I could 2box and everything, was good times till I got another position in the company and now I am too busy to play while at work... now all I get to do is work and troll forums =p I was able to lvl my BD to A grade in 3 weeks playing from work =p Awwe I miss those days..
My laptop is my main gaming machine nowdays. There is nothing wrong with the GO cards atleast what i've experienced. i got a Geforce GO 7600 256mb and 2gb ram. Works awsome.
Ive never used a desktop. I travel to much. I got a sager desktop replacement to play on. Ati x800 with 2gb of ram and a 3.2 ghz processor, its 2 years old but works great I can 2 box on almost max video settings.
