Orc village for sure. I just love the feel of the place. Dark elven village as a close second - it loses points because it takes forever to run in and out -.-
1. Orc Village (the older style is cool)
2. Talking Island (it simply feels much like a medieval village should ^^ And the music is cool. Props for the boats and the outlying newbie training halls as well.)
3. Dwarven Village (couldn't put my finger to it)
4. Elven Village (love the surrounding ruins, the tree, the water)
5. Dark Elven Village (somehow bland, much like the DEs themselves u.u ).
TI - Because of the elpys, never saw them anywhere else except around Gludin before C3. Lowest lvl mob in the game. I still visit them just to see how much damage I can do to them on a crit.
LoL TheGoat u insane :)
/petition protect the Elpy's
Well all the starter villages are cool, i like Dwarven, is a funny place like the dwarfs char's, but my choice is Talking Island, everytime i went there the music sends me back in a travel time 3 years ago when i start on L2 and when i find the first ingame friends...
LE village, made my first char there and the big mother tree with the glowing lights I always liked.
Talking Island with the old school music, very much feels like an island village, think it's also the first place with frog mobs until 30+ in Cruma swamp.
TI for the OLD SCHOOL feel. I remember when I thought TI was the whole game map and that it was sooo huge. LOL that was quite some time ago (OB). The boat that used to make you crit error or fall off (making you die) and then sending you back to TI was great too.
1) Light Elf Village ( was there in closed beta as my first toon )
2) Orc Village - Just great with the old orcs and the hall upstairs
3) TI - Still good to go down and see the pvp at the gate. But I have helped a few noobies there and that is one place that seems to have real, new players in it from time to time.
Yeah, TI will always be my favorite too! The music just makes me feel like I've come home... (which I did sooooooo many times, as I died to keltirs and wolves and orcs and werewolves over and over.... cuz I didn't know I had windstrike!!!! That **** apprentice rod doesn't do any damage!) I even go visit when I'm in a lull, cuz I love to hear the music!
Light Elven village.
atmospheric music
nice looking village
good quests
no much witlessly running around
not too much crowded
(bad: too much grass :) )
Dark Elven would be great too, but there are tons of bots adulterating the fun there.
Talking Island. The music always brings me back to the town to visit from time to time. I am not sure why I liked Talking Island so much but I was there for what seemed to be an eternity just to save up enough adena to go to the main land. BrutalX helped me by keeping my level low and always pking me three years ago. I was so excited to go on that boat ride from Talking Island to Gludin.
TI brings back alot of old memories :p
but it's tied for first with the elf vil just becuz it's soooo bright ^^ i feel much more alive in light than in darkness
I like equally all - DE, LE and TI.
DE village, cause my first beta char was a DE, brings back lots of really nice memories.
LE village, cause its nice and bright, good quests near and mobs near to town.
TI mainly because of the music also, there's smth in it, that always makes me want to go back there and listen to it :)
I like Talking Island myself. Only place in the game I don't get lost by roaming around. And I did not get PKed each time I went out, unlike the Dark Elf village.
Dwarven Village--for the landscape!
I absolutely love those mountains and snow and evergreen trees!!
There isn't even a close second for me. I didn't think Elf Village was anything special and although TI is a neat town, I don't have fond memories of leveling a solo human fighter there.
DE village and orcland are both cool with Orc village being a slight favorite over DE imo.
For me--it's Dwarfland. Just amazing scenery (and I would like to live there)!!!!
I have fond memories of Talking Island like being pk'd for stepping outside town. Being trapped inside town! Or actually getting lost in Talking Island village, I had trouble finding the village from the mage starting point only because I decided to try a short cut.
Light elf village because of the scenery and the overall airy feel to it. I would want to live here.
Dark elf village I liked due to the story behind it, all about their struggle to escape from being trapped underground.
When I first started this game during beta and was just creating a character, the combination of the 4 elves standing in this grassy field with soothing music playing in the background created a beautiful experience. Continuining the process, and you find yourself standing in a pavilion beneath this enormous tree with a shallow pond surrounding it, and from this pond you see a delicate bridge in white stone with latticework leading up to the elven village. The entire experience up until you actually go back down from elven village is quite beautiful and why I kept playing the game after beta. If I had started in say orc village, dwarf village or the human village, I am pretty sure I would stopped playing after beta, these villages are neither interesting nor beautiful. The human village particularly is an uninspired plot of haphardly placed buildings sitting atop a more uninspired generic green field.
