Guys as said on the topic i just don't know where should i lvl my warlock on 52-56. Remember that i only get queen of cat on lvl 56, and once my lvl 35 blaze is already starting to fail, i will be mostly supporting kai on the pve.
hmm, I always mellee with my Summoners. (Without any SS)
I think it is much more effective than casting. With the PS I nearly never cast a spell. With my ES I cast 2 times Aura Burn between mellee.
The time I need to cast some spells, walk to the drops, heal the pet and let recharge my mana is more time I use to kill it with mellee. My Pet looses less HP, when I mellee instead of casting and I can catch the herbs fast, especially If there are 2 or 3 mobs and it is a fervid fight.
I tried it, because a Warlock at the same spot played very different like me with casting. So I thought, perhaps I do something wrong and tested it with different spells and tactic but had less success like with my mellee and Aura Burn tactic. (oh and I have no Dual or good equipment ony Raidsword, Shield and Mithril Set and never use SSs or Pet SSs)
For your Question:
I am at L53 and think the Golems in front of the Archaic Labortory the most efficient Mobs. They are green and give more Exp and Adena as yellow Mobs in the Cemetary or Frozen Labyrinth.
With the PS I liked the plateau of EV, but there are no herb drops (same in the Cematary).
what i did was just carry Bsps for servitor heals, and a ton of beast shots. I'd just wack on the mob to set off my binding cubic, the cat was main DD and Tank... i did 1 1/2 rooms in the cats with oop prof... but you can still do catas... just take a little longer. Top floor of EV is perfect for self buffs.
I kinda doubt going pure summoner can even remotely compare to nuking your way to 52ish.. I did 40-50 in like 10 hours. But you need proper support, at least an SE to make it good enough.
I've noticed now at level 50, that it's hard to find a good spot to level my PS.. I'm tempted to go back to the blue mobs that STILL give more XP per nuke than any other mob that needs 2 shots around that level (6.9k xp, 8.6k with overhit).. just wonder if I can do level 51-52 on them as well :p
That's right, while their nukes still stick pure summoners (except PS) outdamage nukers by a margin in ironman solo (if nuker has recharges think look a bit different).
People keep forgetting that you CAN use your servitor's full damage output and your nukes at the same time - with the right timing you can hunt bigger mobs than nukers faster.
As a PS, I would honestly ditch the nukes, grab a melee weapon (and if you can some buffs) and go to a catacomb.
I'm using the summon to tank group mobs by attacking the leader, then it gets aggro of the minions while I sit back and nuke the minions without me getting hurt. Throw in a couple heals when required ^^ MP consumption is high though.
Catacombs are boring though.. and field mobs yield better XP if you don't have to run or recharge too much. Even with sitting 5-6 minutes now I do better xp on the blue group mobs lol.. so imba XP from them.. I need some really hard monsters just like those that I can hunt again for uber xp/time ^^ That means group mobs with 2x hp minions :>
I'm not sure if you can take them and/or if that's what you're doing - but have you considered swamp tribes?
That's the ones I'v been doing since level 44 or something :> But minions are blue now, though they still give me some of the best XP it seems to be possible at this level.
Considering my downtime perhaps a Cata is better since it will be nill there.
How about CT2? Think there were some group mobs there as well that are pretty tough.. I'm experimenting on the group mobs in Skyshadow Meadow, I one-shot the lower minions tehre, and summon can easily dispatch the leader by that time.
solo a big room in cata with green/white/yellow mobs cant be bad XP for any class. I like that a lot more then running around in the fields. to much runtime. and i love seal stones!
I'm in cata now.. and it's a bit slow IMO. I duo with a BD 55 and OOP prophet, we kill fast but still feels slow, I guess I hit an XP wall or something hehe Best XP I ever got was from field group mobs with 2x HP. Only serious AoE can beat that XP
