PR Tattoo's?

What Tattoo's should I get for a Phantom Ranger?

For pvp get +5 STR +4 CON if you want the absolute highest damage as possible throw on a dex tattoo too but you will have really low con and get stunned easy.

+5STR +4DEX -9CON.
Yes, you have low con, but who is gonna close you enough to hit you and stun you???

I suggest not to touch your attributes untill after 60+.
You can get +4str-1con from PL set untill A-grade.
And when the time comes go 5+str -5con.
Offcourse you could be a real glass cannon and go +dex but that would have it's own side effects.
I do not recommend that either since you probably want more dex for higher crit rate, which does not get taht much better by going +dex.

Why do people tell you not to touch your attributes until after level 60?! WHY!? It's stupid, no reason to not do +5 STR and be done with it until you're 80.

You will level faster from level 40 and up, NO REASON AT ALL TO WAIT!! HELLOOOOO!?

I'm not defending that argument in general. Just when it comes to PR.
Cause the inconvinience of haveing to go back to town every 5 minutes to restock shots and arrows (10x C shots per arrow, ello??) and at lower lvls you don't have as much hp to play with either.

From own experience with PR: without tattoo i was at 50+ able to carry 5500 Css + 1k arrows = 500 shots then go restock... This with PL set (-1con)
Imagine it with an additional -5 con :x

so use a dagger till 52 to save shot consumption/# of return trips? besides, isnt it better to be more efficient in your hunting to save you money? (ie cost efficient to use 3 css w/ +5 str rather than +0..... resulting in more damage per adena...)

So I'm kind of a nub...

I have three Tattoo spots, what should I put in each as a PR once I'm a high level? I'm looking at the Stratics Dye page and it doesn't seem to go along with what you guys are saying.

You dont always need to use your three tattoo slots. So I still stay go +5 STR -5 CON which will take you 2 slots.

Yeah, that's the set up you want. Wether it's now or save it for later :p And you don't need to fill all 3 slots like Lofl said.

I'm pretty much using the same template that I used for my HE. At C grade, I'm using...

+5 STR, +4 DEX, -9 CON
Plate Leather Set
OE Dark Screamer/Focus


At B Grade I plan to use....

+4 STR, +5 DEX, -9 CON
Plate Leather Set
OE BOP/QR

I'm choosing more DEX simply for the slight movement and attack speed increase. I already know at this point that I'll be spending more time in the fields where the mobs are spread out across a wider area. Get there faster, kill quicker.


At A grade...

+5 STR, +4 DEX, -9CON
Majestic Light
OE SoulBow/QR...unless a Shyeed/Focus drops in my lap

Yeah, I know many folks are leery of +DEX and -CON. It is a luxury to be sure, but nevertheless one that yields a noticeable benefit PVE.

I think the PR will be ok with that dye set. My hunch is that I won't get touched after C grade, at least not where I plan to hunt. My HE rarely did -- except for the rare instance of a bad pull or a blind aggro -- and she didn't have the additional assistance of PP buffs, boss rings, or a PR's naturally higher STR or foot speed.

A Grade is the unknown, but getting there as quickly as I can is my only concern right now. That means +DEX and -CON for me. I can always change it down the road.
