With the passing of our beloved Mistryl. I thought it would be appropriate to wonder about the new one. So far we have had two men and two women as CM's.

So will our new CM be a man or woman? :)

But more seriously, I'd guess a man this time :).

I don't think many men have the patience for the job. My bet is on another woman.

Could apply for it yourself :) I dont feel like moving to Austin personally... been there done that.

Yea, but you really wouldn't have to live down there for this job. The web editing can be done from afar too.

My vote is someone who plays the game. Otherwise, it will be interesting.

Exactly. Many companies have to post jobs even if they have someone inside the company who they want to hire.

Universities do it all the time.

Woman!

I'm a guy but I know when I'm beat on something, and this it something that a woman will just handle better than a man will.

I also agree that it should be someone that plays the game, a lot, with a lot of different classes under their belt. That way they will have a better understanding of the issues facing the players.

While I think Elli would be an excellent choice, I wouldn't wish this bunch off on my worst enemy. I include myself in that "bunch" as well.

So, Elli, if by some strange twist of fate, they should ask you. I beg you to think really long and hard before you answer.

Look at her posts in this forum, the work she's done on stratics with the Quest guides and other things. It's very easy to tell that she cares a great deal about this game and it's players. NC could do far far worse than offer the position to her, and would probably have to work very hard to find a better choice.
