Well ive desided to play a DE Summoner once i hit 40, What would be the bast way to set the char up, light or rodes for armour, and what weapon should i use, staff or sword.
Well, I'm not good giving advices and I dont play Summoners either (not yet! :>) but here you have a post where, IMO, you can see how summoners are played, even the post is about an LE summoner ;)
most Phantom summoners ive seen, wear BW Light @ 52, and use a Dagger or Sword w/Focus or even dual swords to assist their summon in doing damage, the BW Light set gives +15% cast speed, so its helpfull when ya have to heal/buff your summon
Actualy you don't realy need to care about your character that much. The good point in being a summoner is that your equipment doesn't matter much, since not you but your summon is doing all the work. So even devotion set and homu+acu would be fine to you. But if you don't like it, then maybe you should know what you want, don't you? So, advice is: try using your head.
Summoner talking. I agree with Tavian that gear isn't really a problem for a summoner, but it's allways good. Go Demon set on C Grade and nuke while your sumon kill something else till you get up to b grade.
After 52 Blue Wolf Light is the way. Grab some duals and malee side by side with your summon till around 58. After that you can go malee, but don't waste ss you dmg will be too little, let the summon do the job and keep it alive. The reason for you malee is that you need to hit the mobs yourself to activate your cubics. Anyways you can also tank for your summon once it has a low p def anyways.
yes i agree with celebrity he right cuz ur nukes will always fail at lvl 52+ and u need ur cubies to ative but u using ur cusre to slow the mobs and make they accuy suck will always active ur cubies so u will can go with robes if u wan tto be a lazy summoner really it up to how u want to play ur summon do u want to kill fast then u us light amor if u dont care how fast it goes as long as u dont die then go robes but i would say go light amor it the way to go
