A grade pole question.

I have a good Lance with the CS SA, but I also have an A grade sword loaned from a clannie, and it's annoying have to mess with two different grades of shots when the opportunity for a pole party comes up. If I get an A grade pole, which is the better:
1) Halberd with Haste SA or
2) Tallum Glaive with Guidance SA
or one of the other SA combinations?
FYI, my main is a Destroyer/Warcrier combo, and my Destroyer wears Tallum Heavy. For pole parties, my clan will generally bring dwarfs and SEs. (Someday I might try poling when there is no SE or other healer around, but I haven't gotten that brave yet.)
I would go for a Halberd with Haste. For better dps and faster frenzy re-use.
Well since there is a large supply of both atk spd and guidance available, i'd go with a Tallum Glaive and either Wide Blow (more mobs per hit I believe) or Health on it
Well, one thing I neglected to mention, I've gotten the Cursed Dagger with the Rsk.Haste SA so I can use Frenzy more often. The Haste SA wouldn't really help with Frenzy, although it certainly is great on it's on just for DPS. Since we're in Interlude, let me pose an additonal, and related, question:
The mobs are suppsed to spread out more in Interlude. I have learned a poling technique where the poler constantly switches targets - this seems to help hold aggro and pull the mobs in a little tighter, or so the thinking goes. Has anybody that plays a polearm class experimented with either the Wide Blow SA or the technique of switching targets constantly in Interlude and seen if it helps with poling a large pull of mobs (say maybe 6 - 8 or more)? I'm referring to the new AI in Interlude wher the mobs tend to spread out more.

Not sure if this goes for you too but alot of people dont understand the re-use on frenzy. When you equip a rsk.haste dagger when activating frenzy they base re-use will go down. Then when you equip your sword/pole the attack speed you have then will affect how fast frenzy will be ready again. So thats why Haste SA will make frenzy be ready faster.
If you postion yourslef in a corner (in a cata that's easy) you can pull a whole room of mobs without Wide Blow or Long Blow. If you have Poleskills (Whirlwind & Whild Sweep) Just let off those when the mob is allmost dead and you'll keep the aggros - nice overhits too (i know you dont get VR's effect with those skils)

Guidance isnt worth it on a Tallum Glaive (only ups the Accuracy by 4) Ive used on on my Dwarf and i still missed the same amount as i did without Gudiance. But health isnt an option if your going to Frenzy right correct?

If you like CS on your Lance why not go CS on the Halberd (it goes up from 13% to 25%) I know Dwarves and Destroyers dont have the Stun ability that Warlords do.

Thats Just my opinion though.
Wide blow cures all, been using it for 2 weeks and you don't need to switch targets or anything, just pick the center mob and swing for the fences. And according to L2cal a haste halberd doesn't make up for the extra damage from a tallum glaive. The DPS was was exactly the same with tallum heavy/halberd or Maj heavy/tallum glaive.
Still trying to sort all this all. My only knock on Critical Stun is that it sometimes stuns when you are doing the pull. Not a major problem, but it does happen.
Edit: A better way to put this is that I'm thinking SAs that up the overall damage rate are worth considering over the Critical Stun SA. I'm assuming that Critical Stun just stuns, and does nothing to up the overall kill rate and the VR effect. If I'm wrong in this assumption, I hope somebody will inform me so.
This all depends if you are usin VR or are you tryin to just kill really fast. As a VR poler(no skills) i need to hit every single guy to stay alive. Haste did not allow this as the mobs spread out too much. Wide blow on the other hand allows even a crappy pull to work well enough not to die. Before interlute i loved Crit stun, now i just want to be able to hit everyone all the time. Haste on a dwarf doesn't seem to be much of a help with attack speed, it raises mine by 30, no enough to notice really.

This is not true. The cooldown is set based on the attack speed when you trigger Frenzy. If you switch weapons after you trigger Frenzy you still benefit from the attack speed from the Cursed Dagger. I've done it both ways (trigger Frenzy with Halberd/Haste equipped and trigger with Cursed Dagger equipped) and it absolutely works - re-use with the Cursed Dagger is significantly faster.
Going to put in another vote for wide blow...
It seems a LOT easier to get many mobs with this SA in Interlude as they spread out more... Wide blow increases the angle you will hit in... simply walk up to them (don't target until close) then attack.
Yep, I'm starting to fell like Wide Blow should be it. Thanks for all the advice.
Thalenduros, you're a warlord right? do you know if fell swoop stacks with wideblow SA?
