Problem with the Hidden Truth quests in FoD

I've done the first three quests in the Hidden Truth line of quests in Forest of the Dead, and am at the fourth part, "Inhabitants of the Forest of the Dead." Right now I'm supposed to be hunting the Bone ______ mobs to get a Suspicious Totem Doll. I've spent 2-3 hours out there on two separate occasions and have not gotten the drop. After the first hour I cancelled the quest from the NPC in the Cursed Village that involved hunting the Bone ______ mobs, but another hour or two later, I still haven't gotten the Doll. I'm told it shouldn't be taking this long to get it -- is it a last hit type of thing? (I'm a bishop and can't solo the mobs) What could I possibly be doing wrong?

It is a solo quest so you will need last hit, you should also try killing other mobs out there like skull animators n such as well not just the bone ____ mobs.
