It is new, and the price description does not tell one exactly what one gets for the 5 wins ("a B weapon recipe"). :) I've only lost so far unfortunately. ~__~
Ah ok thanks I see that, I'll have to check it out. Looks like the same thing as Game of Cards, probably equally as frustrating, though B recipes are at least a little better than 2 EADs :/

all i know for now is 3 of a kind gives you 2 EWC (or is it one?)
either way like i said ill be dumping 4k of gems into the NPC tomorrow so that might help you get some more info on it

Havent seen a list for Seductive Whispers on B.lah yet... although it tells you exactly what you'll win so I guess one isnt really needed. Just curious if its 100% recipes too.
Right, but nameless mentioned red gems which is game of cards, the seductive one is spirit beads. At least that's what the quest says, haven't gone out and got any quest items yet.
Winning is complicated, but all you do is turn cards and its totally random so nothing you can do to force a win.
The rewards vary depending on how many rounds you win. If you lose you lose EVERYTHING though, it doesn't give you a lower win.
1 win: 40,000 adena
2 wins: 80,000 adena
3 wins: EWD & 199,000 adena
4 wins: EWC & 199,000 adena
5 wins: B Grade Weapon Recipe & 388,000 adena
6 wins: B Grade Weapon Mats & 675,000 adena
7 wins: 2 x EWB, 2 x EAB & 1,284,000 adena
8 wins: 1 x EWA, 2 x EAA & 2,384,000 adena
It costs 50 spirit beads for each game, regardless of how many rounds you play. There is also a practice system to see how it works that costs 1 bead where you either lose or get 2 beads if you win.
When you say it costs 50 beads each game, does that mean each round as in going for 5 wins so you would need 250 beads? or is it just 50 beads until you either lose or collect your prize?
Which of the places are you hunting? I found that I got very few in the downstairs of fields of massacre - the yield in the pits and on the graves in cemetary as well as near the Spiteful Soul Groups on Fields of Massacre seemed best.
I've been hunting in the cemetary where the Orc leaders, gargoyle looking things are etc, kinda like it there as ever so occasionally i get a C grade weapon part (part of my mediocre master plan). I never have much luck with things dropping when there supposed to so is probably just me..
For game of cards, which is similar I got most gems fighting doom knights and the other doom mobs that don't drop herbs, than I did fighting dismal poles and things that DID drop herbs. So it's kind of a trade off, as a sps not having herbs hurts more :/

Don't forget the Infernium Ore and the quest to save the deadmen. There are probably a couple of others that I'm forgetting.
The Spiteful Soul groups give 5 Spirit Beads for each group. When I was hunting there a couple of levels ago, I could get ~75 Spirit Beads per buff set, but I was killing nothing but those groups. The other mobs in the area drop the beads about 30% of the time. I played that game probably 30 times and only won the first round once.
I've had much better success with the poker card game (can't remember the name).
I've gotten the 5 a few times, but never the top reward.. thats all I'm really going for now.
Got 6 once and thought about stopping to see how many blades you'd get (I'm assuming its blades, it says essential ingredent.. )
I do kind of dislike the whole quest, simply because its pure random dumb luck. I'd at least like to THINK I have a "chance" somewhere in the game (ala bingo)
I'm not much into this quest either. I was gonna collect enough spirit beads for one round, but then I changed my mind :p The good rewards seem too unlikely to get, and I'd just end up getting annoyed. I don't ordinarily hunt anywhere, where you get the quest items, so I'm not going to go out of my way to get them. It would be different if they drop in places where I like to go.
I like "game of cards" a lot better, even if I've only gotten EADs so far T_T
The win chance is 50%, so 5 consecutive wins is 0.5^5, still 3%. Considering the speed at which it goes I guess it's OK. ^^ I can usually play two or three times after a quick hunt.
Last night I had enough for 4 goes.. 1st got to 5, then failed trying for 6 :( then failed twice, but last go I got to 6 then got scared so I took the prize. I couldn't remember what 6 was, but was rather surprised to see 675k adena and 13 Bow of Peril shafts...
Doing the spiteful soul groups mostly last night I got 150 spirit beads in about 2 hours and 54 red gems. Lost at game of cards and lost 2 times at whispers and won 40k once.
Not really worth it but the beads drop so much better than red gems it at least makes the stunning doom knights a bit more tolerable.

Maybe if we added a category to where you could get the quest items, then it would be easily sortable. Like Dev Castle: site of A Game of Cards Quest, Seductive Whispers, Infernium Ore, etc.
All are repeatable, all are party except For Sleepless Deadmen and Illegimate Child of Goddess which are solo.

I have too but not at the same time (gotta ore and a red gem at the same time that is) I was frustrated with the red gem quest so I cancelled inf ore. It seemed like just one would drop at a time and I'd rather have the gems than the ore. Would have to test it further to be really sure but that's what it seemed like.
