im slowly lvling my PW to b grade but am as of yet un sure what armor i want to use..they all seem pretty crummy as far as imconcerned...help a brotha out?
PVE: max dex and str with doom light. You will be super fast. focus dagger if you solo alot. crit dmg dagger if you group alot.
PVP: hmm... tricky. I know that PWs are more about critting than doing skills. I would still recommend getting +dex tat, but not sure what to take it from. I would again recommend doom light here.
I think both zubei's and doom light are valid options with the first beeing more defensive and the second more offensive. I don't think that BW gives such a noticable increase in Mdef to be considered as a good option.
If we take a closer look, we can see that the +3 DEX bonus that doom provides, is translated to about +2 evasion (@lvl 52). It also provides a +2.7% Patk that more or less negates the -1 STR. Practicaly, if you go doom, you end up with +3 DEX (which affects many stats), -2 CON, -2 pts of evasion and 22 pts more Pdef than zubei's.
Please remember that armour PDef is multiplicative, not additive. The PDef difference between zubei and doom will be greater than that on most toons, especially once buffs come into play.
I honestly don't know if the extra 2 Evasion are worth the loss of damage, speed and accuracy from doom. :P

Zubei is nice, but it offers very little enhancement, especially if you went through C grade in Plated Leather. For PvE, still with Plated Leather. Awesome set. But if you simply MUST get a B grade set, get Doom. It has the most affect on your ability to do damage. And that -1 STR will do little to affect your damage, espeically from your skills. While you won't get nearly as much MP as you would from BW, if you use your skills "sparingly" (As you should be doing in PvE anyway) you should not run out of mana.
Doom light is pretty much the light armor any dagger class should choose for doing 52+
+5 Str / +4 dex -9 con for pve.
sure dex does help with landing rate on your stabs, but nothing major its like 3% with +5 dex, so might aswell ++++ that str up to help with doing more damage
get yourself a dagger w/critical damage, PW's get critical chance upto the highest level, but they dont get any Critical Power skills, your going to crit alot as a PW no matter what dagger you use, so you might aswell do more damage when you crit, especially with the C6 Death Whisper nerf.

I wouldnt say that. PWs crit constantly when buffed. If you are critting for 600 and your skills do like 1200, what is the point of doing a skill when you can hit twice in that amount of time? Especially when your skill land rate is probably less than your normal hit rate. I could be wrong (since I havent played one), but I know they work differently than the other two daggers.
