I dont think that was ever mentionned anywhere in L2 News on this very site.
From now on, when another character or mob is attacking you while you dont have anything targeted, you will be targeting the attacker.
Anyone can tell me how this feature got into the game?

I have never had this work for me.
And I've been nuked down by enough Flash of Vendor (that I could not see) to know that for sure.

It causes problems for tanks because I'll get hit, auto-target a monster and someone will assist me, causing them to hit something I don't want them to. I know people shouldn't spam assist, but Murphy's Law > all.

Target yourself to avoid that.
I think this auto targetting is pretty handy. But they could give us the option to turn it on and off.
