So i went offline for about a year and a half and returned yesterday without a clue as which of my toons to play.
I am choosing between my 52 BD with +4 BW set and +4 TSU*SLS
or 47 TH with +5 Dark. +4 plated set for PVE and a +4 MM crystal dagger for PVP.
So.. what to do =) I remember feeling a bit gimpy at the dmg department with my BD last time around and thats why i leveled a TH. But if my memory serves me right I will level my BD faster than TH once they both get past 60ish and soloing starts getting slower.
Any ideas, input? Anything thats changed over the last year and a half that could influence my decision?
well MM was removed from the game so the dagger's worth a lot more now ;)
your BD may be a better choice due to more favored in parties but if theyre both outfitted then you could just play either one when the other gets boring.
TH is great character u can move every where u want cause of stealth skill...good dmg. When it comes to pvp once u get to your enemy it's dead for sure :P
BD does good dmg too with SE buffies (vr lvl3 ) u can solo in FoD which is very great spot, once u'll get to 61 on BD u will own on Vampire spot in FoTD....
Sell your MM dagger for a redicilous amount and that should fund your BD to S grade ;-)
My knowledge of the game is only really up to B grade but judging from what i've seen and heard i'd say go BD if you want to party more and TH if you want to solo more.
play the TH, that MM dagger will make you a god when you hit 77, TH is an awesome class, i solo'd mine straight upto 65, in the catacombs, nothing like 4x mobs for good xp, Silent Move or stealth is nice to get you into the back where you can find a small room, and use lure to drag one mob out at a time, or if your like me just take the whole room by yourself, their also really fun in pvp, i love using trick/switch to confuse people they just stand there like idiots while i kill them.
never sell the MM dagger, my brother sold his back in C3 (for 60mil) and has regretted it every since, but if you find you just really need the money they go for alot (200+mil on bartz)

Why not play them both? Any clan would be glad to have a BD or a TH on the roster.
As for which to level first, go with the TH. It sounds like you like to kill things quickly. :D
Don't sell your MM dagger. Ever. Augmenting it is ok, but don't sell it and don't try to OE it further.
TH is pure pvp class, has great pve skills but at same time is very party dependent for it. BD is a better pve class, needed in any party and can solo easily.

ive out damaged toons with 15 levels on me, when i was 62 that i've pulled agro off a 77 SR w/Drac bow, on dark red mobs.
today i was duoing (my TH & 75 AW) down in DN on my TH, i had 1064 patk, 1119 attack speed (78 prophet/78 bd buffs) we were pwning 2 rooms, pulling around 12-15k xp per mob
TH is a great class, as ive probably said before i solo'd straight upto 65. even back when i was using a dark screamer (40-61) i out damaged every person i ever partied with, so much so that i decided i didnt need anyone else to level with cause i could tank and dd any mob i came across.
sometimes i even duo out in Valley of Saints with a Healer, i 2-3 shot pretty much every mob out there, and pull in around 6-8k xp per mob, which is good xp with how fast killing it is.

TH maybe a PVP class, but you'd be hard pressed to find any other class that can deal as much damage at a constant rate in PVE

seems quite useless, i have a 60 pw, and hadn't partied once. I have mayn AW/PW/TH in clan and they hardly find parties.
PW sucks compared to a TH in the amount of damage they can do at a constant rate in pve, as for your dagger friends in clan they must be pretty lazy then, and your clan sounds like its pretty dead.
comparing a 58 PW to a 58 TH, both w/Prophet buffs, a TH will deal 83 dps more then a PW, both with the same setup. thats just with regular hits
1.) which character would you enjoy the most? which one do you think looks the best (think about what they look like in high grade gear B/A/S etc), which name do you like more, etc (something along the lines of ...what "avatar" aka toon suits you the best)
2.) Flip a coin. Heads TH, Tails BD.
- some more "propaganda" about a TH so ya "make the right choice ^_~", in pvp of course they own alot more, and to play TH you have to be skillfull (which im sure some other TH can teach ya if needed)
- also you can always subclass BD, and being a dual wielding human toon people will run away from you cause they think your a gladiator.
- and finally while i said @ 77 a MM dagger will make you god, i also meant that even at 6x you'll kick *** (and 6x isnt very far off anyway for a TH, easily doable 47-61 in 2 weeks, its alot easier to level now days then it was 1 1/2 years ago)
Herbs. Simple as that. You might not even need a buffer with the mad amounts of herbs dropped, certainly not a healer anyways.
TH is a very good constant DD in parties, even if they run out of mana their normal hits(crit crit crit) do more damage than several other DD classes with equivalent buffs. As you have some bow masteries, you have an option to carry a bow too and be pretty effective with it.
Gotta read up on those herbs people keep mentioning :)
very some areas drop herbs (just drops)and you can pick them up
for example 300hp potion or 300 mana or atk.speed buff for 1 min
str buff for 1 min etc etc ^^
