Duo question.

Hello just a quick question about making a duo with a friend. He wants to play a melee character and I am up for whatever. I have done some reading on the boards and and found that WC+BD is one of the main recommendations.

We are not looking for the leet PvP or "Bestest" PvE duo just something that we can have fun on.

Now he is new to MMO's and I was wondering if a BD would be fine for someone who is just starting out in the MMO scene.

A BD's dances have to be cast every 2 minutes so if they are ok with that i'd say go for it.

Orc Destroyer w/Two handed Sword (PURE MELEE!) and either a Warcryer, Shillien Elder or Prophet with a Melee setup. (That means a melee weapon and light armor for the SE/PP dagnabit!)

Alternately a Gladiator is another good 'pure melee' char. (Any Dagger class is another decent melee/buffer combo as well.)

I do not recommend the BD though, seems like everyone and their buddy has one and dancing every 2 min can be tedious.

Heck, if you stay on mobs that drop herbs, you can go with a pure melee group, no buffers/healers. Although to be honest, buffs make a huge difference and going 2x Melee is not as 'powerful' as a melee + Buffer in melee gear.
