The skills of glady are magical?

I augment my weapon and gave me chance to paralyze during magic attack, and my question is. Are the skills of glady magical? Blaster ,triple slash , tss etc?
They are not magical, however, it might trigger regardlessly - the good "Magic: Mental Shield" doesn't actually require magic to go off either.
AFAIK glad skills are earth based.
Glad skills are physical. Atleast they've been just the same way as Destroyer skills are.
Well, one of my catchphrases as a glad was "let me work my magic," so I guess gladi skills are magical in that sense. :p
There are two types of skills (well, there are more.. like passive, toggle, and the like.. but lets ignore those).

Magic.

Active.

Magic are skills are skills that are effected by SPS.

Active skills are skills effected by SS.

Magic skill damage, land rate, casting speed, crit rate, and effects are dependant on m atk, cast speed, Int, Wit, and Men.

Active skill strength, land rate(?), speed, crit rate(?), and effects are dependant on p atk, attack speed, Con, Dex, and Str.

Because of a few changes... there are a few exceptions (instead of men, some debuffs are Dependant on enemy con, an things like this), but this should give you a better idea as to how things work.

Gladiator skills are active skills. Not magic~
ahhh, I remember pvping a SH back in c3 that silenced my gladiator...ahhhh how fun ^^
Here's a good question for ya. Did you have to find any magic books to learn your skills? No? There you have it. Special skills that need a magic book to learn are magic based, those that are just learned (like all gladi skills) are not magic based but rather physical based and are affected by pdef instead of mdef. Why do you think gladi skills do so much more damage to mages then they do tanks?
His question is reasonable, and if you do not know the tested answer to it, there's no point answering. :) I personally don't, but it would be worth trying for sure.
Quite simply since they don't use bsps on any skills they're not magic attacks. So unless gladi has some slow, root or drain I don't remember them having, that augment is totally worthless on your duals (unless you intend to eventually sub bd lol)
to the original poster...unless your gonna sub a bd like Kat said...the augment is about as useless as my self empower on my keshes. Actually, what is the weapon that you augmented? Most likely its a pair of duals, but could it be a blunt or a sword?

Speaking of bsps..wouldn't it be neat to have blessed soul shots??? :P...flame on^^
that means my augment skill is useless.
No it is not worthless, it can work. I am not sure about the landrate of augments if they are affected by outside buffs or not. I can silence people with a SOM that has a magic silence sa spamming Fatal strike, Sonic blaster etc but since its matk related the oponent would resist it mostly.
._. That's exactly what I meant, thank you for the clear-up Husje. :p The same holds true for buffsticks (and everyone knows about being able to trigger those with non-magic skills).

On a positive side notes: Even mages rarely paralyse anyone with Magic: Paralyse. ^^: The series of SAs is in a bad need of a boost.
I have a friend who would resent that Maline. His name is Piko... and his augment gives a chance to paralyze people who attack him. He's had several kills due to it... and apparently it works for ranged attacks too. Low land rate or not... his augment is amazing... despite the low land rate~
A Bounty Hunter friend of mine has the Silence augment.

A dwarf!

We actually did a test on it. It was working pretty well for mobs of similiar level, but when we went into a dual mode and when she tried on my Bishop, it didn't work too well. The Bishop was of similiar level (the dwarf and the Bishop are B-grade) but with C-grade jewlery. Still, that's fair mdef for the level, and the silence failed maybe.... 4/5 times tried... something like that. The long recharge wouldn't have been practical to use anymore than once in a PVP situation, if even that. But of course if a skill like that works, it can be deadly to an opponent.
Easy way to tell if a skill is Magic or not...

Can you use it while silenced?

I have that same augment on my Damascus. 3 of the last 4 times I've dualed somebody with the dualing system, they were para'd at least once during the battle. It works on ranged attacks (magic or otherwise) and melee too. The land rate isn't too bad...on average it attempts to paralyze the attacker every 20 attacks. By far the best augment I have received so far.

Sorry to get off topic.
