So my clan and alliance was standing in front of the Dusk priestess to take a chance at the festival score, we're talking away because we missed the window of opportunity due to a straggling member.
All of a sudden we realize that people have logged in *inside* the festival room and are killing mobs. Because they look a little too organized, we figure they're just not aware of what they're doing and keep talking.
Then they exit. And proceed to post a score.
My question: How on each does one log out *inside* the festival, kill things and then post a score? And as a follow-up, how does one expect to compete in this competition when such a tactic is possible?
What festival where you doing and what was the posted score? This might just be lag on your end.. but if the score is [censored] IMPOSSIBLE then we might know if there really is a problem here.
Well, that's just it. The score was quite reasonable that they posted. It was 660 or something along those lines. But that's considering how they logged in *after* the chests appeared and thus got the good stuff.
As my clannie said "Wow, three shots just went off in unison, how'd that happen?" If that doesn't say it, I don't know what will.
But that's not the point of the post for once. It's the idea of being able to log out a party inside the festival, then log into it again and kill for festival points. Is it possible, or was this a glitch?
If you DC in the festival arena you can log back in, but you can't remake your group.
My guess is they had a score, 660 is really low btw.. almost negligable.. and they got DC'd.. logged back in, weren't partied, killed more and then posted whatever score they had.
I am curious though.. if they DC'd during a previous festival period, then they should not be able log back in say in the following one right? From what she said I gather that they had missed one period, and were waiting on the next one when the room sudenly was occupied? The game should have pushed them out of the festival area when they logged back in I would imagine. Since otherwise if they forcelog prior to a festival ending.. they could exploit by relogging in after the next festival started blocking others from participating. Or by affecting the competion unfairly by logging in during anothers competion and lowering there score by killing mobs inside. I am seeing the possiblity of a bug/exploit in the works if the way she described it is what occured.
