So how much would my dmg output suck if I chose to go Majestic instead of tallum at A grade as a BD?
I know its 8% speed vs 4% patk. Which leads me to assume u get a 50% less dps increase with majestic than with Tallum.. How bad is that in reality? (Im not taking in to account that u get weight bonus w tallum or stun resist with majestic at this point)
Truth to be told Im thinking of rerolling only due to the tallum and later on the S grade look on Female BD... its sooo sad... Silver thong and stuff.. Gimmie a break.
Rerolling a male BD would be sweet. Might do that...*whine*
The difference in damage output between Tallum and Majestic is exists, but it is not large: Majestic is still an offensive set, simply not quite AS offensive as tallum. Think about the stun and bleed resistance as well depending on where you hunt.
Quite a bit of the punch both sets give comes from their shared +2STR, so you will arrive at a slightly less than 50% difference - honestly not very noticable.
You would trade 8%attack speed, 80% poison, bleed resistant and STR+2 Con-2 for an armor that gives +4% Pattack, Accurancy+3%, Stun Resistant +50%, Dex+1 and Con-1.
On P.attck maybe the higher difference will come out from the less attack speed you will have on majestic. But you would get the anti stun, what is great for a de.

Tallum has weight increase which is good for de as well. It is sort of a toss up. I would say that Majestic is more "efficient" as far as dmg output since you hit slower and harder rather than faster and weaker. This means that you use less shots.
If you like to see your BD in blender mode then go tallum.

Then the DB is broken?
Majestic stats on this site:
(heavy armor): P. Atk. +4%, Accuracy +3, Stun Resistance +50%, STR+2 and Con-2.
Where do u get the +1dex -1con stats from?
And what does "blender mode" mean? =) Just that Im hitting fast with tallum or what? Anything to avoid the crappy looks of tallum at this point, so if the dmg output wont really differ Illg o majestic but if my xp rate soloing would suffer greatly I would reconsider.

Yes it means hitting fast with tallum. I would say that you could easily get away with using majestic.

I think what he meant is Majestic light, not heavy. Majestic light gives +1 dex and -1con
I used Majestic for a minute. I didn't care for it much. Perception is key. Aside from the stun resist, Maj was just ok to me. It just felt like I wasn't killing quickly enough. Especially when fighting frequent/fast spellcasting types. I prefer the "blender" mode, as others call it.
My PVE BD setup
Tallum Heavy
OE Dama-Tallum Blade
+4 STR, -4 CON
That said, I still use Maj on the SK. Go figure... :)
I prolly end up running around with a silver thong instead of the less hideous Majestic.. But i sure wont like it.. I guess it cant be helped tho, the numbers add up and ofcourse Tallum is the better choice for killspeed PVE, I had just hoped that the difference in killspeed werent noticable.
Maj is 4% patk AND +2 str. The +2 str adding 9% to your str-modifier (http://www.l2p.bravehost.com/patk.html), the 4% are added on top. Also the stun resist is indeed usefull for both, PvE and PvP.
You gain 1 accuracy every lvl up, so +3 accuracy means you can hit yellow mobs with the same hitchance as white. Majestic got the point again I think.
Tallum: 8% attackspeed
Majestic: 4% patk
Well, this is the only point where you really need to to think about it. Do you want to hit faster, or stronger? And besides that, Majestic got more pdef then Tallum.
Tallum: 728 pdef on a 61 BD without buffs.
Majestic: 766 pdef on a 61 BD without buffs.
Majestic got 5.2% more pdef. So its 8% speed or 4% power+5.2% defense.
If you think you hit too slow without Tallum, try haste duals like Tallum*Dama (8% haste on +4).

Yeah, I have a pair of +10 Dama Tallum Blade duals. I used them with the Maj Heavy and with the Tallum Heavy, and in my opinion, I prefered the Tallum Heavy over the Maj set, at least PVE.
Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Maybe if I didn't have buffpets or heal pots/herbs, I'd lean toward the higher p.def quotient. The stun mainly depends on the mob. With 8% +4% p.atk speed + Zerk + Haste + Dances, some mobs you kill so fast that they don't even get a chance to stun you. :)

I will be soling with a 68 SE oop buffer, no zerk for soloing, but I will have it for duoing tho.
Well as I said I will go tallum... In protest tho however :P
*sobs*

I would much rather have the weight increase. I have no problem hitting yellow or pink mobs. If I do have a problem, I can always throw up inspiration.
The way I see it, if I cant hit the mobs then either I shouldnt be there or I am not there to do dmg.
The attack speed bonus on the Tallum would yield a higher DPS, +3 accuracy isn't really that significant.
You might also consider going DC light. You have the masteries, so you will get a bonus to evasion (+9 or thereabouts), it covers the 4% p.atk and kicks in 4% atk speed, and while it only adds +1 to str, it also only takes away -1 to con. And to top it off, you get a some resistance to those annoying paralyzing mobs in TOI and some help in PvP with those annoying paralyzing classes ;)
Generally when one plays a game, they want to do well. Wearing what looks best does not always guarantee that you will do well. So, going solely by looks doesn't really help you play the game.
On that note, if you really aren't concerned about being the best you can be, sure, wear what you think looks the cutest, or whatever.
(Though, I do think DC light looks immensely better than Majestic or Tallum on a human fighter, in addition to being a good glad set.)
Seriously, I want a sex change. Everyone says DE females looks great in nearly anything, I disagree. Fighting in the semi-nude? I just dont get it.
Though the dialogue was removed from the Live Client, the Dark Elf Celebrant that stands next to the statue of Shilen in the Temple of Shilen, outside DEV, advised you in Beta, that your patron goddess was the goddess of Death, the Underworld, Demons, Dragons, the Oceans... and Sexuality.
