The preset zoom span seems to be to small, is there any way to increase it? As of now I can only zoom in and out like 10-15 cm...which makes it very hard to play..

Well that's just ridiculous..I've seen screenshots on the official website with more camera zoom than I can do..there isn't some preset camera lock when you install the game? Also I have a gamepad option checked and "greyed out" even though I don't have a gamepad installed..just seems to be a lot of weird-*** designflaws going on..
Zoom in this game is limited, because when it would have had zoom like DiabloII or some strategy game, it'll be easy to "peek" behind cadtle walls and such. You can use page up and page down keys to zoom in/out in 3 predefined distances and adjust with scroll.
Other things is ... please remove that stoopid camera position reset on right mouse click!!! (And also please remember the camera position when logging out :( )
On the same vein a lot of people use botting programs, which would not equal that it "should" be ok. I've seen zoom **** screenies, it's just as unfair as the cheating programs that allow you to see people in different floors of towers or behind walls.
All I'm talking about is having the option to zoom out maybe twice as much as I can today..it doesn't constitute cheating..it "constitutes" getting an overview of the battle..as opposed to trying to target the mobs frigging foot becaus that's all I can see. This is available in every other MMO I've ever tried and guess what..it didn't mess up the game balance at all :P

The OP has a valid request: allow greater zoom out. You have a valid constraint: it must clip based on terrain. Both are easy to satisfy.
Personally, my main complaint is that PvP is too fast at high level (I get 1 or 2 shot normally) and so the zoom out is a huge issue. If zoom out is not improved, then what I would like to see is a race / class specific passive skill (i.e. everyone gets it, but not as effective for everyone) called Awareness. What this skill does is provide a chance that if you are targeted a status message will be displayed in the system window telling you who just targeted you.

Then you will get the annoying people that target you just to get a message to pop up. Could even make a macro for it.
