My friend and I are thinking in doing a boxing dd+buffer...he wanna be a SE and I'm asking what is fast to lvling? a PW or a SpS with a SE? another thing, what char is an "anti-archer" and an "anti-mage"? thx
Both works, but SE is missing some buffs a PW wants to have (like Haste, zerk, btb, greater might, holy weapon and so on). Still, at the lower levels (say, up to mid 60 or so), duoing with a SE works very well if you just buy alacrity potions from store or GSAP from mammon. If you choose the lvling spots well, it may very well work even at higher levels - VR helps tremendously. Maybe lvl up a prophet buffer for you both for the missing buffs. Duoing with a nuker works best for a SE, though - Empower plus recharge plus invocation. If you then duo in a spot where mp herbs drop and you pick them up with the SE, you can very well hunt without any downtime at all, until your luck runs out and you get a buff round with only very few herb drops.
pw are aweful...I leveled my sub to 6x and deleted and warned everyone else not to...so far 2 people have not heeded my warnings...both have gotten so frustrated with their class they went emo and quit l2...
its fun cause you get to be fast! woo! but when you actually try to kill stuff you will want to gouge your eyes out with a spoon...swordsingers/templeknights do more damage, no joke... if you want a dagger go AW or TH...TH is better for the middle levels but at the endgame AW is better....you don't need to listen to me but i am warning you now 8P if you go PW and hate it it's no one's fault but your own 8P
SPS is decent if you have a recharger+herbs...but you will be dependant on XP spots that drop herbs because you lack body to mind skill so one recharger cannot support you alone...I'd suggest an SH instead because they have body to mind (converts hp into mp) and death spike (lower mp cost for a cost of a consumable item)...but unlike necromancers they can still hunt dark resist mobs because they have elemental skills too. Sps is fine now with addition of herbs (were a royal pain in the butt before them) but you will be pretty dependent on them...won't try to discourage you as much as i would from a pw because they are still a nice class and really fun in PvP...but overall SH is a better choice.
