Yah know I remember when someone made a video for one of L2's video contests. They made a parody trying to sell L2 mobile and entered it in the comedy category. Guess NCSoft liked the idea and made it real lol.
If you badly need to use L2 from anywhere, you can always get a cell phone like the samsung A920 I bought last year. It can plug-in my laptop through it's USB port and I can use it as a wireless high-speed modem with it's EVD0 connection. Was gone on a trip for over a month last year and used it to get my MMO fix and L2, FF XI and pokerstars all worked great with it. And my l2 actually even had a better ping than my DSL connection at home.
I saw this a while back, and the absence of CP and NPC portraits in their text bubbles leads me to believe that it's not an online game. I don't know how you could even fit something as massive as L2 on a phone, even with scaled down graphics.
It looks like some kind of offline quest game, inspired by L2. Which is actually pretty cool, I think the L2 universe is vast and interesting enough for spin-off games. Let's get some side-scrolling 2D action games (http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b106/1jmcdonald/darkelf3.gif) reminiscient of the SNES days.
It's a sprite from an obscure Japanese arcade game called Asura Blade that I modified and recolored to resemble a Dark Elf. I wanted to see what L2 might look like if it were translated into a stylized 2D setting. I only did one, so as far as I know there isn't anything else similar out there.
