I'm new, and I have a few questions.

Player Questions Started Last reply 5 posts
Alright first off thanks for reading this. My first question is what is a SWS? Next, I just started playing lineage 2. I created a Elf mystic, and a dark elf fighter. I tend to like the warrior more. Do you think the dark elf fighter is a good first choice? I have previously played WOW, Guild Wars, and runescape. From what I can tell this game is decently like them. How does this game compare to those? If you have any suggestions for me please post them, I am new to the game and open for any suggestions. Also, this is kinda a bad question, but i'm trying to download lineage on my laptop, and it says theres not enough disk space. I've deleted lots of things, and still theres not enough space. How can I veiw how much space I have on it? Thanks.
SwS means Sword Singer, a 2nd profession from the elf's knight path (Elven Fighter -> Elven Knight -> Sword Singer -> Sword Muse).

As for the 1st choice question, almost every class is a good first choice. It depens on your playsytle to answer that. With lv20 you have to decide if your Dark Fighter turns into a Palus Knight (heavy armor user), or a Assasin (light armor user), and on lv40 you have to decide again. Take a look at the Library here, under "Races, Classes & Skills. For your Dark Elf Fighter, you can turn him into a defensive style fighter, a party assisting (offensive way) fighter, a ranged offensive fighter or a close offensive fighter.

Tell us what you like (ranged/melee/partyplayer [aka supporter]/solotype/wizard/healer) and maybe we can help you out a bit better.

I didnt played GW or runescape, but compared to WoW the most important thing could be, that lvling here is extreme harder then there, and money is anything. You dont get quest for equipment or lots of fulldrops, and you dont spent the endgame with "instanceruns". Equipment isnt binded and with enough money you can buy almost (if not) anything. And making money can be easy sometimes, but also so hard that you wanne quit the game.
Thanks for the input. In wow I was a holy priest (pure healer) i got bored and quite. I dont want that to happen this time. I'm looking for a class that is pretty much balanced ( if there is one). As I said before when i made the mystic, I died very easily, and the spell casting was very slow. On leveled twice as fast on my fighter. I don't know if that changes or not in the future.
Maybe as a lil additional help, while L2 got 5 races with 31 classes, lots of the classes are of the same kind but with different abbilities. As general note, you have:

Human/Elv/Dark Elv:
Tanks - higher def, lots of HP, low damage
Supporters - medium def, medium damage, but they increase the partys damage with their skills
Archers - medium def, high damage, ranged
Daggers - medium def, high damage
Nuker - low def, high damage, ranged
Summoner - low def, medium/high damage, kind of ranged (they summon a mob that fights for them), support a party (support summon or damage summon)
Healer/Buffer - low def, low damage, party support

Dwarfs:
They are kind of special. Dwarfs dont have any mystic classes and they are kind of the money makers in L2, but dont trust that too much.

Orcs:
Also kind of special. They dont have nuker or summoner, just support mages. These buffhealer are harder to lvlup then maybe any other class, but they are strong in the endgame. They dont have a real heal, just a heal-over-time, their buffs cost a lot of mp and are learned very late, but therefore they can buff a whole party/alliance at once. They are more fighter styles mages and have also a medium good nuke skill, aswell as good de-buffing skills.
Their fighters are strong everywhere, but the playstyle is kind of hart to explain. They have a few things common with other classes, but are something on their own.

Thanks for the input. In wow I was a holy priest (pure healer) i got bored and quite. I dont want that to happen this time.

L2 healers are much more "pure" in that way than WoW healers, better dont start one then ^.^

I'm looking for a class that is pretty much balanced ( if there is one).

Hmm, I dont think there is one. Every class got its pros, but also their cons.

As I said before when i made the mystic, I died very easily, and the spell casting was very slow. On leveled twice as fast on my fighter. I don't know if that changes or not in the future.

Well, Nuker can be the fastest lvling guys, but they can also be the most boring class to play. But at the early lvls, I dont think that anyone lvls faster than a nuker.

Nuker lvl most of their time alone, since its the fastest way and noone really wants them in party. But they are very strong in PvP, specially at higher lvls.
