Blatant Mob Cheating?!

OK, having been playing for a long time, I am resigned to mobs having an 'unfair advantage' with things like stun rates, accuracy, evasion and shooting through walls. But from what I encountered today goes beyond an 'advantage' right into outright cheating!

I've been cleaning up my quest inventory/list and as such finally decided to complete the "Magnificent Feast" quest series from Dion. (L20-35 ish quest.) I've had the 'Adept of Taste' quest item in my inventory since C1 or C2 and given the rather huge amount of effort I put into it at that time I decided to finish the quest rather than just delete the quest item. I figured it'd be simple now that I've grossly overlevel for these quests.

Now, one of the mobs you have to hunt are L37 "Wasp Leaders" in the Floran Beehive area. These aggro mobs have a secondary MP drain attack that they use. (All too often.) While I was in this area killing them, (For Honey Pouches) I was rather surprised to see them hitting me with this skill/spell for -78 MP per shot!

Now, this wouldn't be surprising as the last time I fought them on a L40 BH with C grade gear they were doing that much...except it's exactly the same amount and I wasn't playing the BH this time. This time I had my L61 Overlord down there with Full Black Ore Jewels and all self buffs and I was getting drained for the EXACT same amount of MP as my L40 Bounty Hunter!

And not only was that mob hitting me for the same (-78 MP) each time, none of their uses of this were resisted at all! (I have about a 100% resist rate against all other magic using mobs at those levels...)

I'd always hated mobs that used this skill (Like the Ball mobs in Cruma) but now I can say exactly why: THEY CHEAT WITH IT.

:(
Ha ha yeah I was thinking of the ball mobs (Liangma) in Cruma too, they hit me for something like 128 mp no matter what level, spam cast, no resist.

And the wind mobs on windy hill can preemptively sleep you and it's the OLD sleep, not the 7 seconds to cast one. BOGUS!!
Mobs also perch but I don't see them getting banned for that.
The mp drain and archer mobs', what seems to be unlimited range are hax. I really think this is not how it's supposed to be.
just like the bloody ladies and death waves in DVC. -165 per drain, gets rather annoying...
Eh I'm not too worried about this. The mobs are still beatable. The fact that they've got a trump card here or there makes them more fun to fight. Perhaps everyone has lost sight of the fact that exping can be fun too sometimes?

Or the aggro mobs that hide in trees - that surely can't be allowed ;)
lol I love that. Very humorous glitch to have orcs falling from trees as though they were apples.
even worse are the aggro orcs with ranged attacks that *dont* drop out of the trees.

ever notice that mobs never miss? You either dodge, or you get hit. Yet, a PC seems to miss fairly frequently.
I think all of the mobs are botting.
..**** what did they call that ****?

aimbot!
And wallhack. I had skeletons constantly agroing me through walls (from side rooms) while I was resting in lobby. I was doing bronze shield quest in Elven Fortress.

>_> The Hallowed Priests and Catacomb Livionia's in Worshippers are using that same hax!

I was down the dead end from the 'port, at the small room when a couple from the big room walk around the corner of the hall and all the way down to kill my little kitty! The little cheaters even have to pick on those weaker than themselves!
In the Elven Ruins in that big room with the globe you can go up a short stair, turn, go up another stair and be on a ledge looking down from up top. Mobs will aggro you, FIND the door way, go up the stairs, make the turn, and get you on the ledge. Creeps me out every time XD
In the same place whilst doing the Orc quest (spear heads thing) although they can't get you, if you stand right next to the wall (left hand one as you come down the steps) you can hear the flying demon things going nuts trying to get at you. Move away they go quiet, move back they go nuts again - +1 to the players :D
I remember a spot in the wastelands (back in prelude) where ant captains would fall through the ground and attack you but you couldnt attack them back. You couldnt even see them. The worst part was that they were aggro. There were a few times where I would be walking around and all of a sudden I was getting hit. I died more than my fair share of times due to that.
