i m making a buffer and cant decide which one to make
SE or EE which is better
plz leave ur reason why one is better than the other
Thnx!
If you pretend to be a buffer, and have aways a party, go SE...if you pretend to solo and have nice heals...fo EE
SE have very good buffs for mages and fighters, like empower and vampirc rage
EE have some not as good as SE buffs, liake advanced shield, stun resistance for fighters...at lvl 58 you get clarity - Temporarily decreases your target's MP consumption rate for skill - its good to mages but I like far more empower than that. You have Might of Heaven - its a skill to use agains undead monsters, like a magic - that1 is your skill to solo.

I'll stop you right there...go SE, its a no brainer. EE are defensive buffers (shield buffs, agility resists), might save you mp(clarity), have better heals, but from a buff standpoint SE get empower, guidance, focus, death whisper, and vamp rage.
Is it going to be for dualboxing with your main, or that buffer is going to be your main or alt actively playd by you?
If it's latter, consider also warcryer or prophet.
SE = buffer
EE = healer with def. buffs except might.

SE's had major nerfs during the last 2 chronicles.
on the other hand, EE's got upgraded, but still cant be called buffers
which one is more fun to play with Buffer or Healer??
If it's a main, I'd suggest either SE or bishop, although in general support classes don't get much attention except for pvp and raids, so expect a lot of duo with friends or solo.

If it's to support a nuker, I'd say SE. If you want a 2nd buffer for your nuker, I'd say prophet. If you want a THIRD buffer for your nuker, go EE. If it's to support a melee, I'd say WC. If you can afford two buffers for your meleer, I'd say go prophet + se. If it's to support an archer, I'd say SE or prophet or wc.

Don't mind the lack of caps on some abrevs, it's late and I'm too lazy to edit the post to make 'em uniform.
The most important is to know if this will be your main character or a boxed char.

If its a boxed char then go for SE (especialy if you are melee or Mage cause the VR/Emp/Recharge), SE has decent mellee buffs and very important buff for mage (emp/recharge/wild magic).

If its your main char go EE. EE can solo, EE finds good parties like AOE/Raid, EE is good healer with good defensive buffs, EE is grate for PvPs (trance ftw), EE has party recall (Bsoe all the party when things going tight), EE never dies (if he don't wants to), EE gots recharge + clarity, EE gets 80% rez and finaly at 78 he gets Profecy of Water wich all mages going to love you for that (+Acu/+MA +++).

EE is a ninja char he can go everywhere rez ppl i.e. A friend died in LoA in the middle of Kariks Snipes etc, he 76lvl so he needed an 75%+ rez, I grabed my 70 lvl EE walked all through the aggros using trance / serenade to eva / restarts to get rid of the agross, got in LoA ran through the room where my friend lies dead (had ~10 mobs in my back) rezed him and PR (Party recall :)).

I love EEs and in good groups is a must as a healer cause of his Casting Speed.

But at the end is how you wanna play SE = buffs, recharge and heal some times and then sit to regen, EE = Heal, Recharge, controling rooms (trance) and party recalls on emergencies :))

Hope I helped you and sorry for my crappy English.

Warcryer.

Going SE means that you will need to compete with buffboxes.

EE is not a buffer, EE is a safety net provider. They are lots of fun to play at lvl 56 and above, but don't expect to get there easily, especially with C5+Interlude changes.
If you plan on PLAYING the healer, not boxing, make a EE for sure. They have great heals, good exp rez, fast casting, great buffs for tanks (and others) clarity rocks to lower MP cost, PARTY RECALL is great to have (EE same me many times with that)

The buffs might not be the best in game, but thats because you get alot more than just good buffs, like a SE. Also dont forget the orcs, they are both great buffers and can heal and fight all in one, hybrid classes wooo hooo.

PP has good buffs, but they dont seem to be very fun to play, since all you do it use all you mp on buffs, and then hit some.
Don't go PP, sorry, but it's one of the most boring-drawn-out classes to play. Worse than Bishop.

Warcryers get their buffs later than some other classes who get the same buffs. I think by the time a WC gets VR2, the SE is getting ready to get VR3, or has it already. Sorry, but I don't think a WC can heal as well as an SE.

SE gets much better buffs than EE, can recharge, can heal, can rez, has root/windshackle. Can't heal and rez as well as an EE, but it can heal and rez good enough for you to pole in a cata at high 50s and low 60s at least - with VR2 even. I've done that alot :)

SE/Bishop/EE should never have to sit due to OOMP in a party. Use Invocation. Invocation Lv 1 = ~100 MP/Tick. It lasts for 30 seconds.

I wish it were true :(
I have 3 74+ rechargers that use that skill and still run out of mana :(

They didn't before Interlude
Don't forget...at lvl 78, the EE buff PoW is far better than the SE's for mages.
But you have to level to 78, looking for Greater Empower 3 or buying L2Day Scrolls (650k+ each) until then.

Well, mine is still lower than that (56), but I don't do groups > 5 persons with her.
Just to clarify, I have 3 rechargers, one activly played, and two boxed. The one activly played stays in party most of the time with me (Mystic Muse) and other two are out of party... I run out of mana after a couple buff rounds.
what does "boxed" mean?
sry i m kinda new to the game
Boxed usually refers to not being actively played. I.e. you alt-tab when you need something from it, but it's not in your main window and just follows you around doing nothing most of the time.

Don't forget...at lvl 78, the EE buff PoW is far better than the SE's for mages.

It's very good - as an addition to SE buffs. Empower 3 gives +75% matk, PoW gives +20%. Yes, PoW gives also casting speed, mp regen and magic crit rate - but I think that without empower, you will do worse than with empower 3 but without PoW. Even empower 1 gives +55% matk.

That said, you can get empower 3 from buff scrolls. Or you could simply drag a lvl 25 shillien oracle along for empower 1...
"Boxed" means that you have a second account to play a support character for your main.
Isn't PoW a 5 min buff though?
Yeah, and has about a 1 minute cooldown without buffs and about a 15-20 second one with.
