Lvl 39-40

Ok, so I have a lvl 39 Palus Knight. He's at 45.05%. I'm just wondering, where is the BEST place for getting to 40?

(Consider this in your reply...I don't like spending too much adena, which includes buying D grade soulshot, healing potions, and anything else I need for soloing. Also, consider that I don't have a boxed buffer following me around, and most of the buffers in my clan are in parties (lvl 60+) most of the time they're on.)

What goes fast without too much downtime and where you could cut on some DSS's is the Bee Hive with it's 1/2hp mobs. But that is when DSS is really an issue, if you just wanna cut on healing potions, go to Hardin's Private Academy or Death Pass.

Just ask one of the buffers to be your buffer for the time it takes to get to 40. If you're in an academy they should do it with no problems.

Or get a bonebreaker and head down to wastelands and kill punchers (lvl34 weak to blunt) till you get the level, or hunt Fettered Souls in Hardins Academy which are also weak to blunt...

But I really think that someone from your clan should assist you for faster leveling, you are going to provide some reputation points after all in 50% :)

I was leveling in Plains of the Lizardmen (Overlords are 2x HP, so I was seeding them) and Alligator Beach from 38 to 40.

Yeah, that all good for lvling spots. But why do you just get one of those 6x people in clan to just powerlvl you? Say its in the name of Reps.

Best? No such thing. There are just lesser degrees of suck.

Here's my list of 'acceptable' places with good mob seperation and/or aggro manageablility, based on leveling pets and farming with alts.

1)Wastelands - Punchers and Tyrants at the north end of the WL. There an area north of Casian/middle nest entrance, that is clear of the annoying Gigantiops group mobs.

2)Innadril - Dailons and Crokians. Spacing is decent although you need to watch social/aggro while chasing. The Dailons give good xp and aren't too tough or strong. You could also give the beach on the mainland south of Alligator Island a try, just a few Farhite Lads and Alligators there.

3)Death Pass - Road Scavengers, Wyrms and the Basiliks there. Not the uberest, but it'll get the job done.

4)Cruma Swamp. Marsh Spiders and Stakato Drones. Just barely worthwhile. The frequent poison is annoying and the aggro requires you watch what your doing, but you can still do the Black Lion quest while here for a bit extra. (I made 40 here with my Palus w/duals, although I was using a Wind as well.)

5)Schuttgart - There's a few Mahum and Goblin looking mobs at the West-most end of the Plunderous Plains (Just the other side of the bridge from Schuttgart) in range and spaced well that may make blowing a few of your Dimension Diamonds worth while. I'd make this a last choice though due to the travel though.

6)Red Rock Ridge - Mahum and Warlike Tyrants. Southmost part of this strip, and the lowest mobs will be the first level of blue, but still not that bad. My Scav made it to 40 on these mobs. (Using the Wind again.)

I don't recommend the Beehive 1/2 hp mobs though. At least one mob there stuns and the MP drain/poison makes the mobs there more frustrating than easy to kill. Field of Whispers/Silence is just nasty for your setup as well. I'd go so far as to say it's almost insta-death that way given the Snipers and Leinruks. (Tricky but hawt XP for a Nuker/Archer/2H Destro blowing shots though.)

If he is impatient about the grind from 39.5 to 40, the class change quests won't help. They take longer than it does to get that last 50%.

To the OP, go to any hunting ground where there are lots and lots of mobs that drop pots, are at least light blue, but no higher than green to you. What you want is high volume killing of lower level mobs, especially if you aren't using ss or have access to buffs.

Speaking of which...

I would also suggest porting to monster track arena to get buffs from someone.

If you are on Devianne server around 7pm PST, stop by Dion. I will have my SE online giving out buffs to lowbies for about an hour or so on Wednesday and Thursday night.

I already did my class quests...did them as I was leveling up...but thank you all for the posts X.^ (I play on Gustin by the way, otherwise I'd take you up on the offer for buffs...) Gonna be getting online in about an hour, and hopefully get my last %age....Then it's just a matter of collecting my C grade...(got a very nice clan member, and friend, who's loaning it to me X.^) Again, thank you for the posts. Think I'll give a few of those places a try.

2 words - POLE PARTY - find one and make some AA while lvling..

Tamlin Orcs and Bugbears near Hunters Village are a possibility. I'm not sure how easy they are to kill for a Paulus Knight. But they are not aggro, only social aggro, and mostly well-spaced. This can help you save on healing pots. I think they also drop herbs, although it's been a while since I hunted there.

The bugbears up by HV stun (at least they used to) which could be annoying for a DE. I leveled my first Palus Knight from 39 to 40 in death pass back in C1. It did the trick.
