umm nice event ranks up there with all the crashes and lag :)) Great one!!! Where are the golems? they only spawn one time aday ncsoft to cheap to toss some drops whats up? Is it broken? Did the Pro farmers get them all at the good Dr's lab? Geeze another disaster event
welcome to L2 *cough*
I hardly play, and in one day I had two spawnings of golems, killed about 20 of them, too.
i like this event, when u do find them, a party of about 6-7 will often get alot of good drops.
well I haven't seen a single event golem so far

same
The high level ones are normally "reserved" and dropped by your friendly high level clan. Level some 2x toons and go for the starter towns... just wander around and there are loads. I managed 5 raids in about 3 hours - I'm now the proud owner of a lifetime supply of L2days.

More PP/SE's out of a job..... :(

Not at all! I set my SE up in Giran selling Empower / Guidance / Death Whisper / Wind Walk / Might / Shield.

I use the title "Build an SE" and it seems to work wonders.

SE is the new dwarf?
How much do you charge for buffs? Except obligate "is there any high level buffer, I rec you for buffs" currency.
Well, I just check market price on the scrolls, then take about 10k off.

I don't advertise 'buffs for rec' because I'm not that shallow. I don't charge for buffs when I'm 'live' on the character, because I'm not that greedy.

I believe that your name is the one thing that defines you. Your reputation (not /evaluate) is YOURS. People see your name and they know "Oh, he's a good guy. He'll buff me if I ask and not want anything in return" or "He will group with me even though I'm x levels lower / higher" and what have you.
I have never insisted on accepting anything for buffs when I play SE. But some people are strange ... they stop and say "I have no recs anymore ..." thinking I won't buff them if they need it. Hell as if Recs mean anything or have some function ingame. I ignore recs. They just have to say it nicely ... 'buffs plz' and even hitting me to get my attention when outside won't give them anything. Like if they forgot to write full sentences and being at least a bit polite hehe ... I am not voice controlled buffing machine, I am live person behind character (most of the time).

But that's offtopic or belong to other thread.
The other day, I was on AF behind one of my clan members and someone runs up and says:

Hey (clan member). can ur se buff me?

I blinked and typed out:

I am not a boxed buffer. No buffs for you. Go away.

The nerve of some people. They REALLY have to remember that to make assumptions makes an *** out of u and mptions.

Then you are one of that 10% who isn't boxed :)

I know. But still...

I try to use reputation points the way they were meant. Which means that I typically only give them in response to some kind of deed that I witnessed. I ignore ones that are simply done are greeting. And try to ignore when people beg for them. I think that's just silly.
I found a group event mobs around Oren yesterday. I was looking for the npc for hatchling quest. I am a sk lvl 68. I found a Raid Boss lvl 45 with minios and around it 20 mobs (not minios) then i killed it (not boss and minios) end got a lot of mats, l2day scrools and blesses soe/rez. I think about 10M in drops. The mobs was blue for me and 1/4 mobs dropped items.
Well I survived the Weekend but after 4 hours of running around looking for golems I found absolutly NONE and gave up. Many of the people I know in large clans say they found maybe on or two groups. All in all this was a flop of an event. My argumant stays firm. NCSoft didn't perform at all on this one. As far as L2Day Scrolls. useless drops seeing I have my own SE and Prophet to buff me anytime I need. Lets here about some real drops guys and Ladies :))
Yeah absolutely useless event. Didn't see a single one nor did i have any idea where one may spawn.

They should of done it a bit like the Rabbit event. Have small golems appear that one person can take down for high xp / sp rewards and then have a Giant Golem that needs a group to take down and you get decent drops.
Seems like a massive mixture of reports here. I was lucky enough to come accross at least 10-15 instances of the regular mobs - I guess you just have to be in the right place at the right time. I generally found that if I went looking for them, I'd never find them. However, if I was just grinding, I'd eventually come accross them.

Here's how I saw the event working.

At random intervals throughout the day, in some select part of the land, the ground would shake and a Event Raid + Event Monsters would spawn. Only people within "X" range of the epicentre would feel the rumble.

Once the event mobs had been spotted (as this happened every time I went near them) the annoucement was made "The Golems Have Been Spotted".

So, in theory, if the mobs spawned in somewhere remote where there was no active player, no-one would know they had spawned and would probably not be spotted.

I never once saw the event monsters or RB's spawn in the same place twice. However, I did see the same RB's sitting in the same place day after day.

Some remote places I found which wouldn't be populated included south of plunderous plains, on top of a very high hill by the DE village, in one of the caverns around Schuttgart, in a tunnel connecting Schuttgart with Dwarven village and north of the cave of trials.

These places had the mobs because everyone makes use of the teleports now and never walks anywhere. Another clan member found similar locations between lowbie villages where no-one seems to use. So, thanks to teleporters, a lot of these places have been missed by players.
Well the Fat Lady Sang and it is over, lets hope they NEVER do one of those again. But I had my moment of glory.
a Wisdom of Spledor dropped a Damascus Sword :)) 64 levels for a drop Woohoo what a rate!
You guys know what? Why should they work hard on new events?
Whenever they come out with a new event, people rip on it no matter HOW good it is.
So if they expect the ridicule either way, why work hard on it?
Lukasa, perhaps they should actually listen to what the community wants and have some idea of what is actually going on in the game economy etc.

Before you can make that statement about the community ripping into them for working hard at making an event they will of course need to actually work hard in the first place, which they haven't done in a long time.

However it's not that difficult, they've got it right in the past. The original pumpkin event was great fun and everyone could have a go.

They screwed up with this one full stop.

You just illustrated my point. That was a great event, but people still complained about things like the drop rates on the parts, and the fact that they *gasp* lost their seeds during an update, etc, etc, etc.
I've been here since open beta and I've seen many an event go by that was very nice, but they didn't want to do it again because of the constant complaints (Enter the giant bunnies).
I'm not an employee of PlayNC, I have no obligation to actively listen to this community because I'm APART of it. The people who do these events are real people, and when a person puts a lot of time, effort and care into a project, only to be shot down will put less time, effort and care into each consecutive project.

Instead of complaining about things, why not try to work within the guidelines of the events?
I hear complaints that they were spawn camped, or only large alliances got them.
Fine, get a group of people together and start searching for the golems.
Don't find any? Promise to reform again in two hours and do the search again.
I guarantee this is what the big alliances are doing.
Sure your never gonna satisfy everyone that's life i'm afraid. But they can at least try and go for the majority, which they seem to have missed out on this time.

With regards to making an effort, people can put as much effort into an event as possible, doesn't mean it's going to turn out well. They should consider it from all angles, if they were in touch with the community and user base such problems wouldn't arise so easily.

Also like we both agree there have been some great events unfortunately they seem to either be disappearing or non events like this one.

And if they let criticism go their heads when they are doing a paid job then it's their ego's that need adjusting.

There was not time or effort in this. pick some golems from already premade ones, spaw them with a drop package of worthless junk, pat themselves on the back for having a good laugh.

The Event designer probably asked one of the GM's for town cords and and got the standard non GM robot response the paying customers get. yeah I know the game played, but oh well.

The ORIGINAL Pumpkin and the Rabbits were by far the best they ever did.

And if you want to be technical about how good they are, L2 scrolls, a few EW/EA and some potions are not worth killing yourself over. Drop some real stuff Armor, Weapons, Things that most people buy adena for from farmer companies. that would be a real Event.
