If each race had a theme music you could apply for them, what would it be? Pick your favorite race and even upload the song on www.putfile.com (http://www.putfile.com) so we can hear it. It'll be fun!
I think this song fits the Dark Elves nicely. Person who can guess what game it's from gets a cookie!
It sounds like something taken from the "Mana" series of games for the SNES, but I know those soundtracks well enough to know that it's not.
Maybe Tactics Ogre or something?
I think that most of the starter village music suits each race, also. Especially the theme played in the Elven VIllage.
It's a bit too modern sounding for Dark Elves. I think the sentiment is right but the sounds are a bit too industrial sounding for Dark Elves. At least in my opinion.
Dwarven Race - Drunk With Dwarven Mirth (http://media.putfile.com/Drunk-With-Dwarven-Mirth)
It is a theme from Divine Divinity when you enter a tavern full of smelly drunk dwarves (are there other kinds ? :p).
To this day whenever I see a dwarf it just plays in my head and I cannot stop it! :D
I don't have the link for it, but if somebody can put it on, the song Slam by Pendulum would be good, and funny, for the Orcs. If none of you have heard that before, go to www.youtube.com (http://www.youtube.com) and in the top search bar type in "Pendulum Slam" and watch the first video. Don't mind the video so much, it's quite disturbing, but listen to the music, then if you can get the code, upload it there. X.^
God, I love Chrono Cross. I would have used this song for the Dwarves, though. (http://media.putfile.com/Termina-74) I loved the first song they used for their village up until... C3, I think? It was perfect. Nothing says "short fat old dudes" like loud brass.
I'd use this one to represent the Elves. (http://media.putfile.com/Elves-28) It's pretty, but it gets especially, uhm, "Elfy" at one minute in. I also think this is another good song to represent the Dwarves. (http://media.putfile.com/Dwarves-26)If anyone can tell me where the last two songs came from and the parallel I'm making, they win a hojillion cool points.
Yup. And I can't friggin' find it anywhere now. They took it off the site here for some reason, and all links to it are gone and any torrent with it is dead. It was called "Forge and Hammer" or "Town 20", now it's usually the song you'll hear when you walk into any town's blacksmith.
My choice will be
Humans = soft 80's pop rock
Elves = boring piano music
DE = heavy metal/psy-trance music
Orcs = tribal or reggae roots music
Dorfs = Scandinavian power metal
I got some backups of L2 dir burned on DVDs like C3 C4 - when they actually fit one DVD. I may upload files from it if somebody's interested. But when I get home, @ work currentlly :eek: They are ogg, if windows media player does not know what to do with them, install foobar2000 - lightweight, good output sound and plugins, no fancy GFX effects just plays music.
