Need help selecting a server

I am brand new to L2. Long time MMOG player.....played DAOC for over 5 years and have moved on.I'm casting about trying to find a good server to play on. Archer or ranged caster will be my character type. Want US server since thats where I live.Any suggestions what will help me find a good server would be appreciated.

Bartz has the largest U.S. population, Lionna is the unofficial RP server, Hindemith has a lot of drama.

He specified he wants US server because he lives in US. So So majority of servers suggested by you fail that condition ;)

OP: for US, there are 2 types of servers: east and west coast. Choose from which have better pings for you. West-coast FOTM is Bartz currently, for East-coast it's Hindemith.

the DAOC ranged classes are very different from these ranged classes.

i suggest you make a home on a server somewhere, then when youre comfortable with your chosen class, start over on a new server and do it right.

start on a garbage server like bartz, move to a reputable server after the first time you hit level 40.
