How do I know if a skill is affected by SS or BSpS

All attack spells, buffs and heals are affected by BSpS. What about skills like Bleed, Poison, Hammer Crash, Health Drain and so on? Is there a way to check whether its SS or BSpS?
If you need a SB to learn the spell, SpS will affect it.
Also, look on the skills tab. Hover over a skill. If it says Active, it will use Soul Shots, if it says Magic it will require Spirit Shots.
Thank you.
almost true. dagger stabs are active skills, but they do not use either ss or sps.

the only way to see for yourself is to test it.

i know for a fact (as i have read the patch notes - having never played half the classes involved in this) that SS consuming skills like stunshot, hammer crush, sonic slash, and more are pretty indistinguishable from active skills such as dances, frenzy, and more.

hammer crush consumes SS. in fact its 3x more potent with SS than without.

watch your weapon - if youre spamming shots, watch for the next fire. this will tell you whether youre using magic or physical skills. (this should be a hint as to what kinds of enemies resist you more - physical or magical)
From Interlude patch notes:

When using a skill after using Soulshot, you can now inflict more damage than before. (Not using a Soulshot has the same effect as before.)

* Power Strike, Power Shot, Stunning Shot, Stun Attack, Iron Punch, Stunning Fist, Sting, Wild Sweep, Power Smash, Triple Slash, Double Shot, Burst Shot, Spinning Slash, Thunder Storm, Punch of Doom, Poison Blade Dance, Sword Symphony, Fatal Strike, Hammer Crash, Burning Fist, Soul Breaker, Crush of Doom, Strider Siege Assault, Lethal Shot, Sonic Rage, Force Rage, Earthquake, Spoil Crush, Hamstring Shot, Shock Blight, Armor Crush, Evade Shot, Tribunal, Judgment, Psycho Symphony, Demon Blade Dance, Double Sonic Slash, Sonic Blaster, Sonic Storm, Sonic Buster, Triple Sonic Slash
Just make life easy.
Fire off a Spiritshot, do your attack, and try to fire it off again. If it's fires it used the spiritshot, if not it doesn't use it (conditional that you land the skill of course)
Same thing with Soulshots.
