Im playing a EE (lvl 36) atm , im unclaned etc. I enjoy the support roll in the game. Until i find a clan that wants in party buffer, What would be the best armor setup for me at 40.
Can I ask how you are leveling with no clan? Just pickup groups? Solo?
Also, you should have zero problems finding a clan... EE is a healer, and live healers = win L2.

I can think of karmian and divine robes... divine is the more expensive set, and personally I would say get yourself a karmian set, its all you need. Karmian set is + 15% cast speed btw.
You can buy the top/bottom in the luxury shop for pretty cheap, then you can buy the karmian gloves from a player.
get the knowledge set.. I believe its +15% cast speed (could be wrong with that) rather cheap...can buy the top and bottom in Giran and buy the gloves from someone in dion..costs about 1.3m total on my server.

yes..I had mis-read it and thought he needed it for 36-40 :)
But if you can't afford C grade, its a good alternative until B grade if you don't mind the mp loss.

Noone wants EE as inparty buffer anyway. EE is not a buffer. EE is a healer/crowd controller/party recaller...

Divine for groups, Demon for soloing.
If you are too short on money (there's nothing that some amount of night fishing couldn't solve, though), then Karmian can be a cheap substitute for both sets.

You must be really stupid or a noob. Who doesn't want 75% rez and 1k heals near mid-game? They have fastest cast speed and really good for group pvp with the fast rooting/trance + heals.
Devotion is non grade 15% casting speed. No other set gets this until C grade with karmian.
Knowledge gives extra matk and is D grade. It's a nuker set.
I wore karmian and divine at 40 and I liked divine better. EE's are faster casters than bishops anyway, plus these days you can just get a acumen weapon. Total speed on a EE is overkill at 40 IMO.

No, he's absolutely correct. When you invite a EE to your party, it's not as a buffer. You invite them as a healer/OMG! Recall/crowd control/trance class of character, but not as a buffer. I think that is what he was getting at. I don't think he meant that people don't want an EE in their party.....try to relax a little there...really!
At 40, I'd pick up a Demon set and a Mysterious Sword with Acumen and play (undead) nuker until 52. (don't forget +4 WIT tats... either the -5men, or -4MEN kind will do depending on funds...)
Why? WIT tat you will keep throughout your career, Demon robes you will keep for nuking and help mitigate the mysterious sword's lower matk, Mysterious Sword is cheap to start with, cheap to use(x2 cbsps FTW!) and works great for your entire existence for healing. (post 52 you would want a better weapon for nuking undead or PvP manaburning)
Go to Forest of Mirrors and kill the ghosts (pink at 40) if you cannot find a group. (Do not hit the mirrors, they are not aggro and not social with the ghosts and not undead.)
At 52, buy Blue Wolf Robes. Keep your Demon for undead nuking.
Post 61, Buy DC Robes for PvP (some argue BW is fine, but the runspeed on the DC robes is the kicker.)
Keep the Mysterious sword for cheap healing and you can experiment with whatever you want to for weapons with the mysterious as a backup.
The stun resist on maj far outweighs the run speed of DC, at least that's what I think. I have both sets. Archers have speed AND range over you as it is.
Frankly, archers are unbeatable if buffed properly anyway.
They don't need to stunshot you.
You are hit for 7k, return to town?
Frankly, EE's have resist stun already... and if an archer pulls back to stun you, and you see them, you should already be gone. (you are about to die, no sense in giving them clan points)
For me, DC robes allow EEs actual advantages in both PvP and PvE where Majestic robes offer little more than a little more protection from a special attack archers frankly don't need as they can insta-kill you anyway.
I will concede that majestic is a fine choice as well and that it is entirely a matter of personal taste.
Yep. All I know after a ton of sieging is with DC and BW it was always stun, die. Mind you this was before CoV and drac bows and boss jewels all over the place.
Now it's still 1-3 shots but at least it's not stunned XD
