There are two sequences of nukes that I always use and have tried, unsuccessfully, to set up both L2 macros and N52 macros. Generally, I don't have auto-bsps enabled, since I usually use two B2M after each of the above sequences and am too parsimonious to use bsps for that!
The macros I set up use hotkeys, and are:
F3 = bsps
F2 = Dark Vortex
F3 = bsps
F1 = Death Spike
F3 = bsps
F1 = Death Spike
F3 = bsps
F4 = Shadow Flare
For L2 macros I have to insert 1 - 2 seconds of delay between chained nukes and even with that the bsps is not always triggered. I haven't spent much time on the N52 but the macros would either fail to trigger bsps or would fire before the skill was ready for the delays I used (up to 0.5 seconds I think). So, I haven't yet come up with delays that make the macros reliable, but the delays I am using result in the macro taking longer than if I manually do the same sequence using hotkeys.
This is very frustrating, I am tired of hitting 8 hotkeys per mob and would like to use macros. Any suggestions? Am I doing something wrong or is this just the way it is? Right now, it seems that the only way I can get the macros to work is to increase the delay between each hotkey to 1 or 2 seconds!
Then, on another note, will the macros work better if I enable auto-bsps and just take the adena loss on all of the B2M I do?
i.e. make a macro for hurricane, death spike, vortex and shadowflare all separate.
f1 hurricane nuke - macro is two lines; bsps, hurricane. name it MAIN.
f2 deathspike nuke - macro same for hurricane, but using deathspike.
etc etc until all your nukes are macroed, then f5 is b2m and you can use this straight off the keypad.
the disadvantage to using the full 4nuke span is spell interruption. its too easy to be interrupted in a macro and if you are, the rest of the macro wont trigger.
Don't forget you can't do anything else while a macro is running... move, chat, use a potion, whatever... press the button, sit back and watch. Any other input cancels the macro.

Yeah ... I sit back and watch the bsps misfire or one of the nukes not happen then I get stunned by a Hot Springs Yeti. Then I get hammered for a while and have to finish off the beast manually. ;)
Well if you use makros for hunting you have no other choice then to get use of the auto-bsps. Every "Item-Lag" will breakup or disturb ur makro. So let it be automatic and trigger it manualy on/off. :D
