Vortex and Elemental/Arcane Protection

I would like to know what happens when a Vortex is used on a character with elemental or arcane protection buffs. Here is what I came up with for the buffs that defend against magic damage:

Resist Fire, Water, Earth, Wind - level 44 on SE, 66 on PP
Elemental Protection (fire, water, earth, wind) - level 76
Arcane Protection (dark, sacred) - level 77
Dance of Earth Guard (resist earth) - level 62
Dance of Aqua Guard (resist water) - level 70
Song of Invocation (dark resist) - level 43
Song of Flame Guard (fire resist) - level 60
Song of Storm Guard (wind resist) - level 70

The following boost Mdef and are not cancelled by surrenders:

Magic Barrier (Mdef) - +30%
Song of Warding (Mdef) - +30%
Chant of Victory (Mdef) - +20%
Prophecy of Water (Mdef) - +20%

Dark Vortex has a built-in surrender to dark (level 76). I am assuming that Dark Vortex will remove the Unholy Protection buff and Song of Invocation but that it would not remove Arcane Protection.

Wind Vortex is a level 77 skill so I would assume it will remove Resist Wind, Song of Storm Guard, and Elemental Protection buff since those are level 76 and lower skills.

So against a Wind Vortex it seems that the main defense will be Mdef buffs (+30%, +30% and +20% stacking for 2x Mdef) and Dark Vortex gets an additional penalty of 30% from Arcane Protection.

Can anyone comment on this? I dont' have access to the 76+ buffs or the songs/dances so I can't test. Also, does the Vortex actually remove the buff or is it just unaffected by it and is there only a chance of removing it or if it is higher level does it 100% remove it?
No songs are removed by surrenders, and I don't think by vortices (dunno about the correct plural) either, not sure on that though.
A Vortex will remove the Resist:Element buff and add a surrender to Element, just like if you would do surrender to Element. If im right there is a chance that it fails to do the surrender.

Dances/Songs and Protection buffs are not removed with it.
None of the vortex spells remove any buffs. ONLY surrenders (not gloom) remove the single protection buffs, and ONLY the resist ones not from dancers and singers. In other words, the only buffs from your list that can be removed are resist fire, water, earth, and wind... and the only way to remove them are from surrender to fire, water, earth, and wind. As far as the chances I really have no idea :(

My guess is the surrender spells are magic debuffs, so something like resist aqua would have no effect on stopping surrender to water, but things like M.Def. and arcane protection (isn't arcane debuff resistance and divine protection unholy/sacred resistance? I might be wrong on that) will defend against it. That is why you generally use surrender before you vortex, because only surrender removes the resist buff, and both surrenders stack.
Surrenders are considered elemantal attacks according to Nyo's site. For example: having a high fire resist fire from Elemental Protection, Resist Fire, Song of Fireguard and Valakas necklace will reduce the chance to get surrendered or the debuff from Vortex.
