That one lowers all stats of the target - this one sounds like it will block incoming skills or magic to 0 damage at random intervals. I've never heard of such a skill.
no class gets this exact skill, but its a combination of the normal SH/necro silence and the phys silence DAs get (maybe other classes do too, not sure atm)
depending on the level of the skill (based on the level of the stone used) the land rate is fairly good for PvE (8/10 on white mobs at 76 w/ lvl 9 skill) and marginally useful for pvp (2/10 on same level duelist)
Isn't this like the Curse of Doom skill that necros get at 77?
yeap it is

Ah, thanks for the clarification about the skill. I was thinking "block" as in "chance to negate", not "silence", so it didn't go click at all.
I think I get it now. This is a passive version of curse of doom, which dishes it out at random. If the chance is decently high and the land rate is OK, that's an almost overpowered SA.

Yeah.... thats scary. Luckily I have no skills to use on them as a bd.
Anyone that hits you... whether it is melee, ranged, skilled, or nuked has a chance of getting Curse of Doom.
End of that discussion.
I must say.. you got the lower end of these types of debuffs. The one that my friend has... it's pure ownage. Instead of CoD... it does anchor to anyone that hits him. He's had several notable kills with it... including heroes.
Actually... yours isn't too bad. I forgot about this one. Instead of debuffing the enemy... this one gives you a chance of getting bless the soul lvl 10 (though it only added 180 mp) for 2 minutes when ever you get hit.
I did get a chance to play with this skill last night. My toon is 52 that has the augment skill. We'll call him "Bob". The skill is called "Doom" Level 1. It is a passive skill that has a chance to be used. I have another toon that is level 50 on another account. We'll call her "Sally" Both went to the arena. Bob hit Sally until Sally was dead. The skill did not land once. Sally hit Bob, who has the augment. Whether Bob had Sally targeted or not, the skill Doom landed on Sally, but only when Sally was hitting on Bob. The land rate was about 1 in 100. The skill did get blocked about 1 out of 15. I am not certain of what blocks it.
Anyway, I just thought I would post what I learned.
1) This is a passive skill for the augment received and only has a chance to land.
2) This does block the physical and magical skills
3) The way you tell it landed, I don't recall a message but the opponent will get a "Silence Halo"
4) Lasts about 10 seconds.
Not sure if I'll keep this augment but was fun to play around with it. Thanks for the input
Doom Lv 1 says it comes off a rather low level augmentation. The skill that comes off of higher level augmentations (61-7x) is a higher level, and thus, lands alot more often. I've had this augmentation land on me many times in arena (the active one, but passive of same level should have similar land rate).
Lv 1 Active/Passive skills are, for the most part, non-factor - since they come from low level augmentations and will have a really sucky landrate on similar/high level players with "par" Jewels
Anchor, Silence, Doom, Gloom, etc. active skills land all the time through +4 BO jewels from melee toons (lower M.Atk - and probably no BSpS 50% of the time).
P.S. The augmentation has a "chance" to fire (usually not that high either) and an even lower chance to land because the skill level is low - it's not a "Learned at 77" skill like the SoulTakers get. It's a "Learned at level of the augmentation" skill :)
