Server Activity Query

Being new to the game im sorta curious. My current server is
"Deviane" & up till now at 20th level, I very rarely see any player characters about. I've seen 1 or 2 in the fields xping tops & have teamed all of twice since hitting 20th. I even very rarely see any characters in the cities like Gludio or the village of Gludin. Is this a common occurence or should i leave this server for a bigger one? Your Thoughts?

On Sieghardt, Dion, Giran and the other higher grade towns are always busy. The following towns are generally empty...

Dark Elven Village
Elven Village
Dwarven Village
Orc Village
Talking Island Village
Gludin
Gludio
Heine
Schuttgart
Oren

I'm guessing this is the same on other servers.

Yeah, that's about right.

To the OP:

Go to Dion. And if you want to see a lot more people go to Giran.

You could also make your way to Aden (and you should because it's very cool) but that is where many of the higher end players are so it won't be very populated. Same with Goddard and Rune. There's activity but not like Giran.

What race do you play?

Im a Dark Elf fem. i've played many MMO's. So was curious because games like FFXI COH & WOW, ive seen dozens of new players out in about leveling or in there starting areas. And each of those prior games seems to have one major city where you'll see a tremendous amount of characters simply milling about. My horror was that I maybe leveling on a dead server, and should remake my toon before i get to high?
currently at 20th.

Anyone know who starts the Mark of the Traveler quest in the dark elf village?

Ah... Talk to Gatekeeper Jasmine

Well, there are servers with more people for sure. Bartz has the most people of hte NA Servers.

Then the Euro Servers are Franz and Teon.

Also, keep in mind, no one hangs around the new player areas anymore. The idea is to get as high as you can as quickly as you can.

And since the game is 3+ years old, and in many ways is a niche game, you aren't going to find huge amounts of people coming through the new player areas.

But yeah, now is the time to make your decision on server because it will be a lot harder when you are lvl 75 to contemplate rerolling.

splatter is the exception, of course, to this rule, but what're the odds she'd run into you in game splatter?

I keep wondering if I will hit the "Splatter hits 40" marking on my lvling meter at the correct time.

My guess is that I will!
