Enchanting + classes

Question: according to your experience, do you think class plays a role when it comes to armour and weapons enchantment? I know it's a matter of luck and certain percentage of failure after +3 for weapons, for example, but still.

TIA
IMO, no.
No.
No...
I tried to enchant Manticore gaiters to +4. 3 times failure.
I tried to enchant Crystalised bow to +4. First time success.
I tried to enchant Eminence to +4. First time success.
Weird luck I've got... lol

Thank you guys.
nah.
Getting a wepon to +4 isnt hard, armour is slightly more so tho. And no class has nothing to do with it.
Do armours have less chances of successful enchantment beyond +3 then?
So all these OE theorycraft ppl say, but the official info is that it is 66%.
I tried to enchant my staff of life (D) to +3 but it crytilised into 1920 D Crystals (to my horror). Why? On the enchant scrolls it says it is safe up to +3.
If this actually happened you should have petitioned a GM right away. It is safe to +3. If it did break going to +3 the GM would have most likely replaced the weapon for you.
Yes. And one-piece armours can be safely enchant up to +4.

Were you watching the item or the system messages?

Because, if you weren't aware, the system messages report the item you enchanted and NOT the items current enchantment level. (Or the enchant level of the now successfully enchanted item.)

Thus you will see "+2 Sword of Expensiveness has been successfully enchanted." when the item reaches +3 and if you fail on the next attempt it will say your "+3 Sword of Expensiveness has evaporated.".
I didn't have more than 3 scrolls so, definetely it crystalized after reaching +3. Any way I bought another weapon, enchant it again up to +2 and just left it like that. Lost 500,000 A in the process, but will use the crystal for BSps production so no prob. Odd though! Thanks for the reply. I am newby , what is a GM and how do you petition it?
/gm ingame for petitions. The weapon should have gone to +3 with no risk of crystallization, so it was either a bug or you went to +4. If it was a bug, /gm and get it sorted out.
If you open the Options menu (Alt-X in game) there'll be an icon of a little red light, that says "Petition" (I think, not IG now and don't remember the exact word).

Click that, follow the GUI instructions, submit your petition.
