Basically I'm after Mass Surrender to Water and we've been farming the Frost Tarantulas in Frozen Labyrinth. We've had about 8 Mass Surrender to Fire books but none of the one we are after.
Someone please confirm that this mob drops this book before I go completely insane.
I confirm it drops from that mob. But as I am pretty sure you know, sometimes you have to hunt a mob for days before you get what you need. Sometimes, going after the same mob but in different location seems to help.
Having hunted those Tarantulas recently, I have to say the drop rate is probably a bit lower than that.
I've gotten plenty of surrender:Fire and Necro books in that area, but only like 1 surrender:water. (Sorry...NPC'd it due to severe lack of interest in that book by the market and a lack of WH space.)
So, Yes it drops, but it isn't nearly as common as the others in that area.

Further, some days the mobs seem to preferentially drop one item and not another. You may have to come back on another day to get that book.
My slave woman did some farming in a different area whilst I was out earning an honest crust. Dropped after an hour so we are now happy and I am never making an elemental summoner......ever.
Occasionally there are problems with drops. I had one the other week in IT crator trying for a drop which I new was 1/156 or so. I killed the same mob for nearly 8 hours without the drop. Eventually I sent a petition as I figured there was a problem with the drop. Just said what I was trying for and how long I had been trying. The booked dropped within 5 minutes :D
