Almost all weapons and armor can be safely enchanted to +3, but beyond that, success is based on a pre-defined rate of probability. One-piece type armor can be safely enchanted up to +4.

Ok, got it? So where done.. no secret super cool way to OE wep anymore.. that does not exist, never did.

Each time you try over +3 you start a function on the server that see what + your wep is, what success for next +, and gives you the result: more + or some crys.

Its all serverside. It happens in the server without any outside possible intervention after started.

Saw this rates in forum, dunno if its true or not, neither the font:

+1 -> 100.00 %
+2 -> 100.00 %
+3 -> 100.00 %
+4 -> 66.67 %
+5 -> 44.44 %
+6 -> 29.63 %
+7 -> 19.75 %
+8 -> 13.17 %
+9 -> 8.78 %
+10 -> 5.85 %
+11 -> 3.90 %
+12 -> 2.60 %
+13 -> 1.73 %
+14 -> 1.16 %
+15 -> 0.77 %
+16 -> 0.51 %

Good Luck!!!
Argh...I'll never have a red weapon. :(
and according to the theory of games algorithms should be modified to deal with frustration/boredom to the player and keep game entertaining. If let s say everything is done at a very similar % chance it becomes redundant to the player, game theorist reccomand alternative algorithms, wich would make you sometime succeed 10 crits or oe in a row for example.
false.

each enchant will succeed 66.666666666667% of the time regardless of how much or how little you enchant past +3.

armor enchant is based on 50% success (or fail) rate.

period.

end of discussion.

edit: if you had a scroll to go from +4 to +16, then yes, the success rate would be what you listed.
when you get a +10 weapon and succeed to +11, it isnt cause you succeeded at winning the lottery. you rolled a 7.

trying to go from +4 to +20 in terms of probabilty yes, the rate is as you posted. but seeing that using ONE scroll does not intuit the whole probability calculation, the rate is fixed to 66.666666666667%.

Cool, you understood that the point of the thread wasn't to know the chance of OE a weapon from +11 to +12 because we already know how it works.

0,5% is 1/200. Statistically, you'll have about one red weapon every 200 ones. The more you'll do, the nearer you'll be to 200. Every others will give crystals. If the weapon is A-Grade (60%), that means that you'll need approximately 333 crafts to have a red weapon.
That's totally reasonable. Keep OE your C-Grade weapons, I need BSPS. :)
